How would some of you car enthusiasts react if they said you can not drive a certain car because it LOOKS like a race car???? Or you can only use certain boats to fish out of, because they LOOK like fishing boats???? Look at what happened in Australia. Millions of firearms cut up and destroyed (yes even collectibles). It all started with just the simplest, and most innocent of starts... and then the anti's rolled in and all of them were gone. I watched one video clip where they took a chop saw to 4 75 yr. old H & H Double Rifles. One right after the other.... It made me sick to watch.. that was history getting chopped into scrap metal. One of the few reasons we are still a free country is this. Even if an invading force could get past our military, they would have to deal with every gun owning American there is. They could not get it done... not with force anyway... but let them pick away at our rights.... get our own government to help with laws like the Brady Bill... just to name one... and soon, .. we are done. Unless we all stick together. I do not own an AK, an AR or any weapon like them. However, I will fight for your right to own them and use them in any legal way you wish. Would you do the same for me???????

Burley has it dead on right.... Everyone needs to read the 2nd amendment completely... It says nothing about freedom to own a firearm to hunt, target shoot, plink, etc............. It says we have the freedom period.......... for whatever legal use we want........... but mainly to stop the government from running over us and creating a dictatorship or a tyrannical government..... Zumbo is a great hunter,, but is an idiot when it comes to politics,,, he needs to quit talking and just write his hunting stories....... He did more damage with that one blog than can be imagined...

I have heard that taking a fish off the bed, does minimal harm.... I believe that there is very little impact on the fishery though. So if that is correct, then where does the theory come from that it does affect the fishery???????

If this is in the wrong spot, mods please move it to where it should be. I have a question... how do tournaments affect the bass in a lake? I am just curious, as there seems to be a backlash from the ordinary fisherman against tournament fisherman. Now I am fishing a jon boat tournament trail this year, and I have heard some rude comments about tournament fisherman ruining a lake for everyone else. How so? Because there are 15-20 more boats on the lake on any given weekend? We all practice catch and release. What is the difference between a two guys in a boat fishing and two guys in a boat competing in a tournament? Am I missing something? Or is it because the average fisherman is not skilled enough to catch fish that have been pressured some by more anglers on the water????? I would love to hear what you all think about this...

The only thing that gets me riled is this, and let me clarify something first, so I dont start a war on here. I do not believe that anyone that asks questions, takes the answers and does something constructive with the information can be considered stupid. According to the rod guy I talked to at BPS he sees about 20 of those BPS Pro Qualifier rods come back broke vs. the Bionic blade or the Xtreme.... I bought those over the Qualifier after he told me that. and I love those rods... really nice action on them.

Heck my jon boat tourney trail is on its 5th tournament coming up this weekend already, and the bass are starting to get on beds... This morning it was 45 when I went outside to head for work and it is supposed to be 70-75 today...... For you guys up north,,, ummmmmmmm the forecast calls for more freezing temps and snow in a lot of areas..... Wanna move south?????????

LBH, According to my UPS driver, they are busier than ever, here in the Atlanta area, he is averaging almost 17 hrs. of overtime a week... Just a thought. Then you could come fish Varner with Randall and the rest of us.....

I do not remember mine being pulled. They started an i.v. and that was all I remember till I was being awakened by this real cute nurse. :o I am glad they put me out.. they had to chisel mine out. I was on extra strength vicodin for a week..... man that stuff really messes with your head... just be careful not to get a dry socket.... the surgery pain will be like a cake walk if you develop a dry socket.......

radiob, This thread in my opinion, is exactly what this forum is about. People helping others, no matter how big or small the problem might be. That is why even if I quit fishing(God forbid) I will never quit coming here, and sitting down and talking to my friends. The people here are one of a kind and can never be replaced, only added to.

Rott, My dad had 2 different fusions in his life. One was 3 vertebrae in his low back, the other was 2 vertebrae in his neck... never slowed him down. He worked in Construction, logging and in a plywood mill. Heck after the one in his low back he was back falling timber in 6 weeks(against doctors advice). I also have a compressed disk in my low back, and when it acts up I can hardly walk, doc has been hounding me for almost 2 yrs. to have surgery, but I do not want anyone cutting on me anymore... have had 3 surgeries(not on my back), and I hear back surgery knocks you out of commission for a long time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, and do whatever rehab the doc reccomends, it will hold back the surgeon for as long as possible.

A man wakes up one morning to find a bear on his roof. So he looks in the yellow pages and sure enough, there's an ad for "Bear Removal.." He calls the number, and the bear remover says he'll be over in 30 minutes.. The bear remover arrives, and gets out of his van. He's got a ladder, a baseball bat, a shotgun and a mean old pit bull. "What are you going to do," the homeowner asks? "I'm going to put this ladder up against the roof, then I'm going to go up there and knock the bear off the roof with this baseball bat. When the bear falls off, the pit bull is trained to grab his testicles and not let go. The bear will then be subdued enough for me to put him in the cage in the back of the van." He hands the shotgun to the homeowner. "What's the shotgun for?" asks the homeowner. "If the bear knocks me off the roof, shoot the dog."

Now that is funny right there!!!!!!!!!!! But disturbing at the same time. LBH you should be ashamed of yourself.. ;D
