  1. No, no....no issues with keeping fish within your rights. That is your legal choice. I merely wanted to suggest to you about showing "kitchen shots" that will typically receive a BOOOOO Take a picture at the lake and save yourself some headaches on here. Friendly advice....
  2. Yep, Yep....I know. Once again I have typed before thinking. Surely you know this wont be the last time either....
  3. Wow, didnt even put that together in my head. :-[ Sorry fellas, my mistake.
  4. Bobby, try dipping that little sucker in some JJ's Magic and a winning combo will become even better...
  5. Agreed. Also, I would tell your husband. I know I would be upset if I found out from someone or somewhere other than you. Besides, any guy that would put his hands on my wife like that would be getting his *** beat. Period. Also, GOOD FOR YOU that you stood up for yourself. That takes a great amount of courage to make it a point to tell your club pres what happened.
  6. Nice fish, but please keep the "kitchen shots" to show somewhere else... Nothing wrong with keeping fish IMO, but probably not the best way to make friends around here....
  7. Carl, how is the Alpster Custom/Mg combo treating you? Did you get an extra prop to carry on your boat yet? (reminder ) Glad to hear Percy is treating you well.

    I did.
  9. Dude, that is not a skeleton in Russ' closet. That is Russ standing in Russ' closet. :-X That's the broom..... : (If you and Redline ever meet, I'm in for it...) Especially if we would happen to end up in that tequila shop.....
  10. Depending on the size of the trout (bigger) you can also use a teaspoon. Very effective gutting tool.
  11. Dude, that is not a skeleton in Russ' closet. That is Russ standing in Russ' closet. :-X
  12. Senko77, are you thinking what I am thinking? :-X Must have picked up the cardboard box and moved on....
  13. Right on. Sweet bait.
  14. Looks like someone is ready to go for some stripers and peacocks..... :
  15. Sweet!! Thanks Ronnie. BTW, hope you got a kick out of the "sleeping" pics LOL
  16. Yes now your getting it. That same steal rod you talk about was also the very first spiraled rod in 1902.. To bad because if it weren't for innovative custom builders the fishing rod industry wouldn't be were it is today..... I'm done... Tight Lines!!!!! And now you get it also....just because something is different, doesnt make it bad. I may concede to unproven, but definitely not a bad thing.... I will be done now too, sorry ghost!!!
  17. Russ, I havent seen it but I guess that might be my entry too?
  18. So, you are telling me "custom builders" decided to stop using steel and start using fiberglass? And then those same custom builders decided that wasnt good enough, and started using graphite and/or other materials? Look its obvious you know waaaaay more than I do, but I have a hard time believing that "custom builders" are the sole reason we are where we are in fishing technology....jmo.
  19. Yep that would deffinatly be why it felt like a medium. At least Cabelas messed up and its not E21 making them weird. What do you call carrot fibers wrapped around a graphite core???I'd call it weird... Or maybe innovative? If it werent for people trying new things, you would still be wrapping cane poles.....
  20. Hey fellas, I was in Vermont all weekend long (near Champlain) fishing a 35 acre pond at the family's house. Apparently, last Wednesday was ice out. I was fishing on Saturday (75 smallmouth!!) and Sunday (44 more). Water temps were still relatively cold, but I saw 5 or 6 beds on Sunday that werent there on Saturday. I am thoroughly impressed with the waters in VT. Average fish was around 3lb and my biggest 5 on Saturday went 21-14 with the biggest being 4-11. Smaller males and a few females were caught on Sunday, but all fish were EXTREMELY agressive.
  21. They are alternately scared and PO'ed. And thats what I love....
  22. Yeah, what he said. I think....
  23. And again, you make a good point in that I only fish with 3 different people and only one of them on a consistent basis... I either need to think these things through more or just put it all in one post....
  24. Good point about the trolling motor Matt. Around here, everything is TM only. Travel gas to and from, I think should still be split. My feeling is, that if it was the other way around, I know I would be offering gas money. I wouldnt expect anything out of someone that I wouldnt do myself....
  25. Yes it can if you are fishing with the wrong plastics. See the guy directly above me. You need to have a chat with him LOL
