  1. Ok, finally got out to throw my new 6" Huds around last night and let me tell you something..... FREAKIN SWEET. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was throwing these things. The best part was watching the faces of the guys fishing for trout as this thing comes crashing down in the water. You could just read "What the..." each time it landed. LOL One guy did come up to me and say, "I'm guessing you're not fishing for trout, right?" I said No, and continued to chuck it. Cant wait to get back out there and hook up. Freakin PUMPED!!!
  2. My feeling is that the person with you should AT LEAST offer. 50-50 is a nice concept, but dont see that working out too well. If you plan out how the expenses will be handled before the trip, you wont be disappointed in the end. It may seem awkward at first, but it works.
  3. Not yet, but I have a couple new tricks that just arrived via the great state of Nevada. Gonna put them through their paces tonight at the secret place.... I have a plan for those and when it takes shape, you will be one of the first to know....
  4. Dont worry, I know where he fishes and what he will be using.... Get the dynamite!!!!
  5. Thanks for all the replies fellas. After seeing what I know as "cattails", I will now know what the heck people are talking about. Thanks again.

Agreed FBL. It was the wrong decision at the time, but I still think Bisping is the better fighter (not on that night though). Hamill is still very rough. If and when he polishes up a bit, his wrestling could be very tough for a lot of people to deal with. Also, Hamill is still a light heavy and Bisping/McCarthy is at middleweight. Bisping dropped to 185 for this one to try his hand at a lighter weight.
  7. I have seen this term mentioned on the 3:16 website and also ***.... What the heck is a tullie, tule.....however you spell it? I would assume it is some form of aquatic vegetation, but that is about all I got. Anyone have an explanation?

I wouldnt be surprised if the Bisping/McCarthy fight is the one to watch on the evening. Bisping is a beast and McCarthy has great ground. Ought to be a really good one...
  9. $50 and rising...... They sure are pretty though LOL
  10. Typically, any Hi Vis (white, bubblegum, methiolate) soft plastic. Hopefully, Matt's Bluegill will become my new favorite this year.
  11. Bobby, I got some of these on the Roadtrip and I must say they are very nice looking. Thanks again for you generosity, cant wait until the PA season picks up soon!!!
  12. If you are always looking for the same person, you could just add them to your "buddy list" Just a suggestion.
  13. They serve a purpose and believe it or not it is to protect the wildlife that you hold so dear. Ran into trouble before huh? I'm sorry for that, but in my experience if you werent doing something wrong in the first place, its really difficult to get in trouble. As for the guy who got a ticket above for spotlighting deer during the season....I dont know where you are located, and I dont really think it matters. Spotlighting deer during rifle season is just asking for trouble, and it is MOST DEFINITELY illegal in PA. I am really surprised at the answers from some of the posters on this thread. Not what I expected to read from some people.....
  14. Respect to you.
  15. I keep trying the jerk in the summer, and it just doesn't do it for me. I remain convinced that it will work. It just hasn't yet. I hear ya Gary. Typically, the jerkbait is considered a little slower technique because the time to use it is "generally" in colder water with sluggish fish. I believe he was working the bait rather fast by jerkbait standards, little or no pause. More along the lines of ripping the bait for a reaction strike as opposed to a feeding bite. I wont say it is the best bait for warmer water, but I dont believe it shuts down at a set temperature either. Wayne
  16. I hate your job three. Dude, you are young enough to do anything you want. When you talked about surveying, you seemed like it was something you really enjoyed. Pursue it, dont take "no" for an answer.
  17. CJ, I like the "not set in stone" idea you mentioned. As far as the jerkbait bite dying off towards summer, think back to KVD in the Classic a couple years ago, when it was the last event of the season. Rattlin Rogue put the cash in his pocket during the hottest month of the PA summer. Just goes to show, everything can work some of the time.
  18. I know when I was really into fly fishing for trout, some of the best areas ran through the farms around where I grew up. Most of the time, if you present yourself as a respectful, responsible person, the people who owned the land would grant you access. I am a catch and release guy (trout included) but I always offered to bring them some if they would like. A few things: 1. Dont drive on their grass. Specifically ask where you can drive and park. 2. Pick up after yourself. Sure fire way to never gain access again is to leave your junk on the ground after you leave. 3. SAY THANK YOU SIR (MA'AM), whether the answer is "yes" or "no". Just by doing this, I have had a "no" magically turn into, "Well, I suppose you can go ahead and fish. Politeness goes a long way with property owners (and a lot of other people), show respect and you will likely get it in return. Wayne
  19. Great post man. Thanks for the insight!!!!
  20. Care to share that "finishing move" you and Supermat are referring to?
  21. I cant think of a single person on here that will tell you to break the law to catch fish. Just not gonna happen on here. Dude, you are in FLORIDA!!!! I think you can find some other places to fish. Bottom line is that it doesnt sound like a dilemma to me at all. Do the right thing and you will feel perfectly fine about it. Wayne
  22. Glenn, who are you waiting on? Come on fellas, I want to see all of them too!!!!
  23. X2 I've tried all the more expensive single barrel bourbons but always come back to Makers. Sometimes I enjoy a bit of McCallans scotch. LOL You should see this guy's kitchen. More well stocked than a lot of bars in PA I think I gave about 10 "no thank you's" to different liquors before I had a beer ;D Steaks weren't too bad either
  24. Thank you for the clarification Kent.
  25. I believe his general statement was, "Take out as many as you think you need, and then double that number."
