  1. Thats one of the many reasons I am glad to fish "electric only" lakes. People dont seem to run their mouths too much when they absolutely know their boat isnt any faster than mine
  2. or Trigged, I agree 100% Buzzbaits up the "fun factor" as well, giving him/her a visual focal point. Works for me to stay interested when the fishing is slow. Wayne
  3. Yeah, that was pretty bad stuff. Karma is a %#$@&$. Good luck in the next round punk. It did seem to be somewhat set-up, but still.....50 large is 50 large.
  4. I am truly surprised that Muddy didnt have a comment for "special apparatus"
  5. Happy Bday man, dont break your hip on the truck today Wayne
  6. The sound on that video made my skin crawl! Thats crazy.
  7. Raul, the fish in PA sure do love 'em. I caught a 22in brown trout on one two years ago during our hatch. Just picked it up off the ground, hooked it and tossed it in. Cant beat it.
  8. Holy crap, I was actually right!!!!!! LOL
  9. I live in PA too. While they are commonly referred to as "locusts" I believe you are likely looking at a cicada. Locusts actually look like this. Cicadas look like this. Two years ago, the cicada hatch was HUGE in PA. There are some that will hatch every year, but your large hatches will occur on the timetables you stated in your post. Wayne That may be the most scientific thing I have ever posted.
  10. Chris, see your posts about your new baits. Wayne
  11. Here are a couple musky shops for you to look at Chris. Most have the "tail spinner" as you call it. I would have to recommend the Bucher Top Raider and Super Top Raider. Anything with Joe Bucher's name on it is a quality bait, IMO. http://www.muskyshop.com/modules/web/index.php/id/1 http://www.pastikas.com/ http://www.smokeysmuskieshop.com/ Those should keep you entertained for a while Wayne
  12. I bought a Symetre earlier this year, and it did come with a small bottle of oil. I would assume your reel would as well. Wayne
  13. I like to stir the pot from time to time, guilty as charged..... 8-) For the thin-skinners....I aint mad at ya, got nuthin but love for ya Wayne
  14. haha, lubricating adventures. Not that he needs it, but I will vouch for ReelMech's credibility right now!!! I called him on Friday w/ a reel question. He didnt even blink, just answered the question like the darn reel was sitting in front of him. I was seriously impressed. Dsaavedra, listen to the man.... Wayne
  15. Brokejew, you cant go wrong with the regular Booyah buzzers w/ clacker blade. The Terminator Skeet's Double Buzz is a good choice as well especially due to the titanium wire. Those Cavitrons are looking better every day though.....
  16. FishTank, do those counter-rotating baits run any truer than conventional buzzbaits, which in my case, always seem to run well to the side? They will begin to roll if you are really, really burning them. As far as running right/left, I havent had any issues w/ the baits right out of the box. The only adjustments I had to make were after getting the bait hung on something or dragging fish w/ weeds to the boat. They have a more subtle gurgle than most buzzbaits, lots of squeak in the blades. If you use a bouyant trailer, you can run them slower than just about any I have used. Wayne
  17. I was looking REALLY hard at an SX last night, unfortunately Gander Mountain didnt have the left hand version. I think I may have to order one Thanks fellas, Wayne
  18. Infidel, I think that is a great question. Never really thought about it before.....hmmmm
  19. Warriors arent really designed to go in the snow, but I have seen them perform relatively well w/ these tires. Go to ITP's site, best tires money can buy. GBC makes a great tire too. I have the Gators on my Big Bear 400
  20. haha, I love that joke. Hadnt heard it in a while. LOL
  21. David, thanks for taking the time to discuss my reel on the phone. One of the more insightful lunch periods I have ever had Right now, I like to stay as far back as possible. I am going to the lake tomorrow and I will be able to give you a general distance once I measure it out. What are you calling a decent distance? And what rod specs do you consider ideal for spinner/buzzbaiting? Thanks, Wayne
  22. Having never owned a Shimano baitcaster, how easy is it to adjust the brakes? With my Accurist, the VBS system is nice for windy condition adjustments and different weighted lures. How does the shimano compare? Thanks RW
  23. Ok fellas, you have helped me out with a couple reel choices so far and they have worked out perfectly. I am looking for something to throw spinnerbaits and buzzbaits from 3/8 to 3/4 oz a LOOOOOONG WAY. Right now I am using a Quantum Accurist 501ACX. It is working out fine, but I am considering upgrading to a reel that will be dedicated solely to thowing the spinner/buzzer. Let's hear them.... P.S. my pockets are still not quite deep enough for the top end stuff. ;D Let me add that the model must be available in LEFT HAND
  24. He either makes a TON of money to be able to afford that.....or he lives with mom and dad and has minimal expenses. Either way, good for him
