  4. What topwaters were you using? The same as the boater? I notice that the fish I catch on top take the bait differently depending on the style of lure....
  5. There is a guy in my office, a veteran, with a bumper sticker in his cubicle that reads..... If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in English, thank a veteran. Wayne

They have that color because they are dead! Haha, too funny. Wow I never noticed that before. Well maybe I did notice that dead bass floating on the top of the lake are lighter color but never realy thought of it. I feel like an idiot for makeing that comment now saying the bass were very light colored. Ah, Dont worry about it man. Not everyone is perfect :

Medium/Fast spinning rod. The more parallel with the water your rod is, the more likely your bait will skip. Tip low... Try skipping a trick stick or tube for the easiest baits. They will skip just like the rocks you threw when you were a little kid.
  12. Holy Crap!!! I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday. The one and only time I posted a pic, it came up with all kinds of crazy letters and numbers. You worded your question better than I could have, thanks. Wayne
  13. Haven't been able to ride yet, but NJ has one of the largest contingents of active guards and reserves in the middle east. Sadly, there is a funeral in my area almost weekly. I plan to ride in several with my daughter this summer & fall. It is indeed an honor to to associate with this group. Ronnie That is a ride I would be more than honored to participate in. I can get there in a few hours. The bike is at the Harley shop in Chambersburg getting inspected today. Wayne
  14. Nope, thats a DC Shoe Company shirt Russ...
  15. You may want to try texposing the hook or skin hooking the bait. Also, try using a braided line and dont forget to cross their eyes on the hookset!!! Wayne Nice work BK42. T will be pleased
  16. Tip... If I were you, I would stay inside. I wouldnt drive, I wouldnt go near machinery, I would stay away from windows in a thunderstorm and I would use blunt utensils to eat with.... Honestly, I think you may have the absolute worst luck of any human being on the face of the planet. Good luck in your endeavors. You are going to need it. Wayne
  17. I would volunteer for that one. I promise to be unbiased I promise.... Things I would like to do: 1. Live life to the fullest. 2. Have no regrets when I am gone. 3. Realize that you cant take the money with ya... I am sure that there are others, but the list will evolve over time. Those are general thoughts that will remain the same. Wayne
  18. Someone wants some free stuff.... j/k
  19. Wow, that is strange.....It wasnt but a little while ago I started a thread wondering where you were. Glad to see you are doing well enough to come back to the boards. Keep yourself well. Wayne
  20. I had exactly the same topic discussed yesterday in my boat. Bluegills and other smaller fish are simply facts of life in bass fishing. I think the conclusion was that I would rather swing and miss a bluegill than not swing and miss (or gut hook) a bass. Wayne
  21. You know it!!!! LOL I wouldnt touch these arguments w/ a 10 foot pole..... I am trying to be good, so everyone fight nicely
  22. At the lower end of the lake, that is basically what I am looking at. The shoreline itself is not steep banked but ten feet into the lake is a rock ledge that drops quickly to 15 or more FOW.
  23. Given the fact that these fish can see a mile, how far will they typically come to intercept a lure? As far as the distance, from how deep and from how far side to side? Thanks Wayne
  24. I am going to a local reservoir today that has extremely clear water. You can see the bottom of the lake in over 20 FOW, to give you an idea how clear this thing really is. The crazy thing is that I have seen some LARGE bass in here over the last two years. I am used to fishing in stained to muddy water and I have confidence in those situations. Today, however, I feel like I am terribly outmatched by this water. I will likely end up using topwater, making ridiculously long casts over the flats on the upper end. The problem is, I will get there around 4pm and need to kill some time before the sun starts to go down. Needless to say, I would prefer to kill time CATCHING FISH!! Any suggestions on a short notice would be appreciated or if any more info is needed, please ask away!!!! Wayne
  25. What does JA mean? :
