I use mine for flipping.... : Basically when you let your thumb off the bar, the reel automatically engages instead of you having to crank the handle. It allows you to immediately set the hook on a fish as your bait is falling. Wayne

I wouldnt feel sorry for anyone....they are out fishing (Marsh Creek is a beautiful lake), enjoying the scenery and experiencing the outdoors. They could be working!!!! Just keep doing what you are doing and unless someone asks you to show them something different, let them enjoy what they are doing. Wayne

I am not skilled in live bait fishing (yes, it does take considerable skill) for bass. When I was a kid and live bait was all I had to fish with, I would occasionally catch a bass or two. There is a guy on here, FishChris, that uses live bait for some very big smallies/largies out in California. I think he would be qualified to attest to the ability of nightcrawlers and crawfish to take very large fish. As with any technique, to become good at it, you must practice. A little success along the way helps as well... Wayne

I guess you are looking for some type of pat on the back and someone to tell you, "You're right. You did absolutely nothing wrong. Shame on them for producing such an inferior product." : Not gonna happen when you accept ZERO responsibility for adding the stress to your rod. Seriously, take a look at what may have (just maybe) happened on your end that would contribute to the blank failing. That is all people really want to know in order to help you diagnose the problem. If, in the end, you are certain that there was no user error, maybe contact the company and tastefully express your frustration. Yelling at them wont fix the problem. Listen to RoLo and Flechero....I think they know a few things about fishing rods. Wayne

Dont ya just love that. It's how our office is set up too. I actually busted out the "PC Load Letter" yesterday....unfortunately only two other people actually got it. Gotta love the "gophers" that pop up during a conversation too. A lot of times, you will just see their heads creeping up over the cubicle wall and then retreating when you notice they are there. Kinda looks like the neighbor, "Wilson" from the show Home Improvement. Typically you only see half a face. ;D Wayne

His "death" was setup as a television stunt, in front of cameras for the benefit of the RAW television show. Benoit actually killed his family over the weekend and then himself on Monday, in their home, by undisclosed means. Big difference there, partna.

They had a three hour tribute last night on Raw for him. They said it appears he killed his wife and son over the weekend and then himself on Monday. Not releasing any details about the death and "bizarre circumstances" are things I read this morning. I am interested in what happened in that house....
