Taking into account your visibility situation, have you ever considered going UP in size to a 6" or even 7" version, in a dark color, with the hopes that the contrast and increase in water displacement will help a fish locate your offering? Just a thought.

The Que is freaking awesome, love that place. Just a bit too far of a drive for me most weekends.

Did you contact Matt directly about your issue? If not, that should always be your first thought. Some baits in batches have issues, it happens. If you want a lesson on exemplary customer service, Matt would be about as good a place to start as any.

I don't have it in hand yet, but this is en route to my tackle bag.

Depends, especially since in my experience the ROF 0 has a tendency to vary from bait to bait. I usually start behind the hook hanger but I've had to put them in front and all the way up to the chin before. Just experiment and keep a pair of needle nose handy to pull the nail out and adjust as needed.

Anyone got a link to a good extendable pole retriever?

I use the .44 Mag lure retriever and the one from bass pro posted earlier. I've still lost some multi-hook swimbaits that were impossibly tangled in deep trees but more often than not, the bait makes it back to the boat.

It was a Nude Black 250. Probably not the optimal color for what I could see of his water but AFAIK it was the only color 250 he had. Definitely looked open enough (no visible weeds) to work a 250 around. He had forgotten the bait at home.

I'm a M&P fan, own the full size 9 and the 45c. While not a glock fan, I have enough LEO friends (and my wife) that trust them with their lives to feel sure that you really can't go wrong with either. If you can shoot both it would be a great advantage but even handling both in a store, side by side, should allow you to "feel" which one fits you better. Shoot, shoot, shoot then shoot some more.
