  1. I'd say carp scale. It looks like some of the scales I've gotten from the carp I've snagged with my crankbaits. They look like guitar picks. Falcon
  2. This Spring I tried Megastrike for the first time. I was fishing in my canal with no success. I applied some Megastrike to my Finesse Worm, and ten seconds later, I was setting the hook on a two pound largemouth. Each of my next three casts produced fish also. I then put a fresh worm on and cast it out without Megastrike.......nothing. I applied Megastrike, and caught a fish................I'm convinced. Falcon

  5. I'm not so sure a Michigan man should be helping guys from Wisconsin, and Penn State. ;D Falcon
  6. I don't fish the river, however the lake is my playground. Right now 8' of water is the ticket. It's hard to say what the next three weeks will bring. I live on Anchor Bay, and so far the smallies have been very cooperative. In the last ten days I've caught a bunch of fours, three five plus, and two six plus smallies. Spinnerbaits, lipless crankbaits, and shallow crankbaits have been money. I haven't been out for a few days because my spine is giving me fits. I will be going out in the morning, so I'll be able to tell you a little more. Falcon
  7. The late Summer/earlyFall bite has started to pick up here as well. The last three nights have been in the low to mid fourties, so the water temps will start dropping, and the smallie fishing will get even better. Falcon
  8. Mine are prescription, so they were Very expensive. My lenses are gray. My optomitrist knew I was a fisherman, so he suggested I get the polycarbonate lenses for impact resistance. Falcon

  18. I love them all, but what really lights my fire, is when one of those ill-tempered smallies pounds my crankbait. Falcon
  19. For me, it's BPS.(35 miles) I have a Gander Mountain 10 miles from my house, but they are horrible. They used to be a great store, but they down sized the fishing dept., and they're staff is clueless about fishing. I have a Cabela's, but it's over 2 hours away. Even though I live on the lake, there is only one tackle shop in the area. The owner caters to the live bait fishermen, which is strange, because he's a tournament fisherman. The Meijer's has a better tackle selection............wierd. Falcon
  20. You guys can complain all you want. It's ALOT tougher being a Detroit Lions fan. Falcon
  21. My most productive color spinnerbait for the conditions you mentioned, is firetiger. When I'm fishing my canal in the Spring, my firetiger flat-out catches them. Out in the lake where the water is crystal clear I use white, or translucent. Good luck, and have fun with those smallies. They're the best. Falcon
