  1. Hey Muddy, there is a guy in Bass Master Magazine. His name is Karl White. He's written a couple books on antique tackle. His web address is karltwhite.com, phone # 405-277-3636. Maybe he can help. Falcon
  2. I agree Matt. When Osborne was coach he loved to run up the score. Now they're getting some of their own medicine. Falcon
  3. I use a fine red marker and write the depth on the bill. Falcon
  4. They work for me in summer and fall. We have very clear water on St. Clair and they are very productive. I like the red crawdad, and shad colors. Falcon
  5. Here on St. Clair, Alot of us muskie fishermen use Abu Garcia 6500 C3, 6600 C4, or the Record RCN 60. We are chucking and winding baits anywhere from 2-8 oz. The reels are tough as bull dogs and very dependable, not to mention much more affordable. Falcon
  6. I feel your pain.........literally. I tore my anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament playing ball, back in 1988. Had to have reconstructive surgery.........NOT FUN. Do what the doc says and what your therapist says and you should be fine. Good luck and keep us posted. Falcon
  7. I always hold the fish by the lower lip and support the belly. I hate to see guys tilt the fish. Falcon
  8. I use Trilene XL Clear/Blue Fluorescent. Very visible under cloudy or sunny conditions. Falcon
  9. Revo SX or STX. You won't be sorry. Falcon
  10. The Abu Garcia D5 is a great reel, very dependable. It's 23 IPT and it works perfect for my cranking. It has a recessed reel foot to give it a low profile feel, and it holds 205 yards of 12 pound line. It's also in your price range. Falcon
  11. Good luck Frogtog. Falcon
  12. I like using Husky Jerks and X-Raps this time of year. Falcon
  13. Welcome Dennis, it's good to have you here. Falcon
  14. I think they are ripping people off. But then, there are people willing to pay the crazy amounts so what can you do? Falcon
  15. Very cool!!! When you get home you should contact Bill and say you are ready to go fishing. Maybe he will take you on that pond that he films all his shows from. I would also like to thank you for everything you do for our country and our freedom. When you get home, if you are ever in S.E. Michigan I'll take you fishing on Lake St. Clair. Stay safe and come home soon. Falcon

  20. Last year my canal didn't freeze until the middle of January, so I was able to catch fish much later than usual. Normally I organize my tackle(about ten times), clean and lube my reels, change hooks where needed, make many trips to BPS, make a list of new things I want to try next season. This winter I'm going to make a few more crankbaits. I've dropped a few hints that I would like an airbrush for Christmas. I've also got DVD's ordered for bass and muskie fishing. This year I'm going to be in Orlando for the first week of February. My granddaughter is in a dance competition, so I'll get to fish then. Falcon
  21. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Falcon
  22. I agree with the suspending jerkbaits this time of year. When the water is cool they produce well for me. Falcon
  23. Very good post Russ. Falcon
  24. I've been fishing for 53 years and never lost interest, so I can't say I know what you are going through. In my opinion there is no more challenging game than fishing. Plus you are not just sitting on your butt playing a game. Personally I'd rather be challenged by Mother Nature than a computer. Just my opinion. Falcon
  25. Congratulations!! Very nice gesture, giving the meat to those who need it. Falcon
