Back in April I bought a Mad N in lavender shad and didn't use until about six weeks ago, what a mistake that was. It has produced many shallow water largemouth since. You can bet there will be more Norman lures in my arsenal next season. Falcon

I've had most success with Rattlin Rapala's. Red crawdad and silver/blue are my best colors. I've caught some on Rat-L-Traps, but the vast majority have come on Rapala's. Falcon

Welcome aboard. You said you used to have Abu Garcia reels. They are good reels and will last forever,( that's all I use), plus they are very affordable. As far as rods are concerned, there are many good manufacturers out there. I like St. Croix, however, I have a couple Quantum and Guide Series rods that I like alot. It all depends on your budget. I've used Scrade knives for forty years. I still have my first one in my poket. They hold an edge as well, if not better than my Wusthof kitchen knives. The only sport knife I own that isn't a Schrade is my bowie knife. Falcon

I have this rod in 7' M. I'm very pleased with the performance, in fact I'm thinking of going back and getting the 7' MH. Falcon

I don't own a Curado, however I have used one. I do own an SX and SC and I'll take the Revo's over the Curado. (just my opinion) Performance wise, I haven't noticed any differance between the SX or SC. I wish the Cabela deal was available when I got my SX because I would have two for the price of one. Falcon

I just got off the water and the bait that produced the most this morning was a white buzzbait. The water was like a mirror except for all the blow-ups from the bass. I had a blast. A firetiger spinnerbait produced a few also. Falcon

That really sucks!! I hate to say it, but the cop is probably right. A couple months ago some low life stole all bshaner's equipment and slashed the tires on his trailer. The insurance company gave him the run-around because he didn't have receipts for everything. It ended up costing him ALOT of money replacing all his rods and reels. I agree with Catt. The C3's and C4's are great reels. Very affordable, and since the upgrade last year they are even better. Falcon
