Last week on my way to work my wife calls me and says she saw an ad for Direct Tv and the NFL package and says she thinks we need to get it. ::)Well I am not on to argue so I just say sure and this Thursday they will be here to hook it up.

I guess I shouldn't be suprised this is the same lady that for my birthday went to Gander Mountain and told them that she didn't know what to get but that she knew I needed a new rod. So for my birthday she got me a new G Loomis rod and Shimano spinning reel to match.

Man I am real lucky.

Don't find many like that, so you be sure to repay her.

25 years ago for christmas I asked for a reversing 3/8' vari speed drill for christmas.

Wrote down all but a model #, all she had to do was hand it to a clerk.

I got a 1/4" non reversing single speed!

I think you guys got the Shimano / Loomis wives - I got the Zebco  lol

My wife is great in as much as she hunts and fishes with me ,but after 2 or so trips the rifle/shotgun or the rod and reels she uses are automatically hers ? Go figure . Sure miss a bunch of good stuff .

she is basically being a single parent for the next 12 months by holding down the fort , she has been doing an amazing job for the last 3... she is paying off ALL of our bills plus she is as excited about me getting a truck and a boat when I get home as I am... now THAT is an amazing woman.. sorry had to pull that trump card.. hahahhaha

I have to admit, I got really lucky with my girlfriend as well.  

at least you guys know what im holding out for   my ex wife wasnt the best, if i bought a new lure for 5 bucks she used to yell and scream about it how i was on s.s.i and irresponsiable etc..... plus she used to tell me daily that she was out ranked by a fish,and she said i treated my rod and reels,and dawg  better then i treated her. ( that was a lie on her part), and i was gernerally unhappy ( as far as the dawg goes HELLO MANS BEST FRIEND!!!!!!!)

now 10 years later i'm divorced,happy with my rods and reels,still have the same dawg. i consider myself blessed because my dawg likes fish,car rides and dont pee on my rods.

i belive that once of these days my pick up line which is ( Hi want a hot date? Great lets go fishing!!) will work on the right upstanding redneck woman. she wont have to be as hot as marcia rubian aka reel lady,but if she can bait her own hook i'll be happy as a coon dawg with a treed racoon.

i'd much rather have a woman take my rods cuuse she fishes with them ( means i can buy newer rods ,right?!)   ;D then have a woman like in the ugly stik commercial which is exactly why i had an ugly stik to begain with.  ;D ;D ;D ;D she never could break that rod by the way  ;D ;D ;D
