  4. Nice looking set-up Dave. I'm sure you'll like the Citica alot more than the Browning. Now go out and catch some fish. Falcon
  5. I agree with senile1, Shad Raps work anytime. Falcon
  6. In-fisherman and Bassin. Falcon
  7. Poor misguided woman. To think she can kill the Bait Monkey. We all know that's not possible. Falcon
  8. The main problem with Pepsi is the cafiene will dehydrate you, as will alcohol. My Dr. said the best thing to drink is Gatorade or one of the sports drinks, or lots of water. Falcon
  9. Because of my spine problems I limit my trips to two hours, so I'll give you those numbers. 1-I fish Lake St. Clair exclusively (Michigan) 2-4-5 fish per trip 3-2-3# average weight. 4-Biggest largemouth-4.2# biggest smallmouth 5.5# Falcon
  10. I've used Trilene XL for twenty years. During that time I've tried others, but I always end-up going back to XL. Falcon

  16. From what you described I'd be surprised if there weren't bass in there. Keep trying, Falcon Oh, by the way, WELCOME
  17. I fell out of the boat while releasing a fish once, but somehow that doesn't even come close to your story.LOL Falcon
  18. Perch will bite on night crawlers and shiners. They are usually open water fish. They run in big schools and seem to move constantly. They have very tasty white meat. My wife will dip the fillets in egg and roll them in pancake mix before frying. Hope this helps, Falcon
  19. Here on Lake St. Clair, we use: 1-large spinnerbaits 2-bucktails (in-line spinners) 3-Believers 6"-13" 4-Heddon Zara Mag Spook 5-Joe Bucher-Shallow Raider 6-Super Shad Raps 7-X-Rap Jointed Shad There are many more, but these are the ones I use. We typically fish for muskies from mid-morning to late afternoon. As for cleaning and cooking them, they are not the best table fare. Plus you might get run out of town for killing them. 99.9% of muskie fishermen return them to fight again. Hope this helps. Falcon
  20. Happy Birthday Russ, enjoy your day. They say the memory is the first thing to go.LOL Falcon
  21. Most times, when I take a rookie fishing I use live bait. If they want to try artificials, I set them up with spinnerbaits or crankbaits. Falcon
  22. I always used the Abu Garcia round reels, now due to some nerve damage I needed to go to an LP reel. This spring I got a Revo SX and now I'm throwing light baits with my Revo that I used to throw with spinning tackle. I was going to get another SX in the spring, but when I heard about the deal on the SC at Cabelas I couldn't pass it up. In another thread a while back, somebody refered to the Revos as "butter smooth". I'd have to agree, smooth operation and drag. Falcon
  23. I would go with the Viento. My reasons are #1-Daiwa has a proven track record, #2-I've heard some nightmareish stories about getting BPS reels serviced. Falcon
  24. You've got some friend there. If it was me I would practice with the Abu, not a different reel. You may as well practice with what you are going to use in the long run. Falcon
  25. I'm very happy with mine. In fact I have a 4600 C4 on mine also. It's a great rod, especially for that price. Falcon
