  1. Welcome David, You've come to the right place to learn about bass fishing. Stay here long enough, and ask questions and you'll have a PHD in bass fishing. Falcon

Hey Muddy, have a safe and relaxing vacation. Falcon
  4. I like to be on the water before the sun is up. When my wife goes with me, it's closer to 7:00 A.M. Falcon
  5. Great post Gary, my father-in-law has had six skin cancers removed in the last two years. For the last fifteen years I've used a 30SPF before I walk out the door. I know some guys that wait until they are out on the boat before they apply. This spring my bought some spray-on sunscreen, it's easy to apply and my hands aren't all greasy. I wish we had some fifteen years ago. Falcon
  6. I've got a Record RCN40 that I wouldn't trade for any other reel. I've caught 6# smallies and 25# muskies with it and it still works like new. I own eight Abu's and the only problem I've ever had was when my D5 went down last spring. It was out of warranty and Abu fixed it for free and had the reel back to me in four days. I think Abu Garcia is a great company. They make a very good product and stand behind them 100%. I got a Rveo SX last month and the only problem is I want another. Falcon
  7. A few years ago my wife thought she was doing me a favor. She was walking through Miejer and saw a display with $1.00 spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. She bought a few of each, and on our next trip out I used one of the spinnerbaits so I didn't hurt her feelings. As luck would have it, I hooked a four pound smallie, when we got it in the net the spinnerbait was so out of shape there was no saving it. I'll stick with my Terminators, they hold up much better. 8. I'm suffering from all those symptoms. Is there a name for this affliction? Falcon
  9. No apologies needed. Like everyone else has stated, I really appreciate all you do for us. Take all the time you need. I sure wish I was going to ICAST. Do you need an assistant?LOL Thank you for allowing me to be part of this great site, Falcon
  10. My problem is lures. All winter I see something on a fishing show or in a magazine, and I have to have it. Now, half way through the season, and I haven't even used most of them. Falcon
  11. Welcome Geno, I would think being a friend of Dominic is a plus on this site. We all look forward to your input. Maybe even a couple stories about the Muddy_Man. Falcon
  12. Welcome Mike, Stick around here and ask questions, and before you know it you'll have a PHD in bass fishing. This is a great place. Hope you come home today with tired arms and lots of bass catching stories. Falcon
  13. Welcome, we're all a little bass crazy here. Falcon
  14. Welcome to BassResource, the best fishing site on the planet. We look forward to your input. Falcon
  15. Get it now while you can afford it. Oh, by the way, if wanting nice fishing gear means you're crazy, I'll need a size medium straight jacket. Falcon
  16. Truex has become a very steady driver lately. I find myself cheering for him alot. Maybe it's because I've spent sooo much money at BPS in the last few years, I feel like a part owner. Falcon
  17. He didn't mention anything about other damage, just the tires and equipment. It really sucks when you work so hard to get the finer things in life, and people treat it like that. Falcon
  18. I just got a PM from bshaner. The poor guy came home from work last night to find his brand new Triton vandalized. Half of his equipment was stolen, and his tires were slashed. What makes it even worse is, he had a BFL tournament on St. Clair this weekend. Now he can't go. Just thought I'd let everybody know we have a member that could use some cheering up. Falcon
  19. For me, it's fishing in the morning. The kids and grandkids will be over for a BBQ in the afternoon, then around 8:30 P.M. we'll load up everybody on the boats and go watch the fireworks on the water. If it rains like they are predicting, my wife will want to go to the casino instead, and we'll have the BBQ over the weekend. Falcon
  20. Welcome to the best fishing site on the planet. Nice catch. Falcon
  21. I love stories like that. That's what greed will do. Falcon
  22. Near my house it's $2.99, inland it's a little less, I think about $2.92. The last time I checked, the marinas were at $3.79. Falcon
  23. For me it's the Zara Spook hands down. Number two would have to be Rapala Skitter Pop. Falcon
  24. My biggest this year is a 21" 5.1# St. Clair smallie. It attacked a #7 silver/blue Rattlin Rapala in 6' of water. Falcon
  25. In the couple years I've been a member here, I've stopped going to a local forum and NAFC (worthless). I only need one site BassResource.com. I've made some friends, and every time I log on I know I will either learn something or laugh my butt off at something Muddy or Avid posts. This place is the friendliest, most informative forum I've ever seen. Thanks Glenn, the Mod Squad, and everyone here for being a great bunch of FRIENDS. Falcon
