  1. Here on St. Clair, most guys fish with crawler harnesses (drifting or trolling with just enough weight to keep bait on bottom). I make my own. I also have alot of success with crankbaits, mostly Shad Raps and Cotton Cordell Wally Divers. My PB (9lb 4oz) hit a Crawdad Wally Diver on 8-9-06. I was so excited, as soon as I released it, I realized I didn't take a picture. So now it's just a fish story. I use spinning and baitcasting tackle. On the spinning tackle I have 6# Trilene XL and baitcasting 12# XL. As far as time, daybreak and sunset are best for me. Falcon
  2. Very nice fish!!! Two muskies in one day is great, but 40" and 50" on the same day is FANTASTIC!!! Way to go. My biggest this year is 44", my biggest ever is 49.5" I'd like to break the 50" mark. I'll be trying this weekend. Falcon
  3. MICHIGAN WOLVERINES!!!! Falcon
  4. Welcome to Bass Central. Falcon
  5. Thanks for the heads-up Glenn. Falcon
  6. A 10 from me also. I was hoping there was a 15 to click on. This is the only forum I visit. All the others are a bore. BassResource.com is home to me. Falcon.
  7. Raul explained it perfectly. Over the years I've had many spincast reels for my kids and grandkids. Zebco 33's, Abumatics and many others. None of them held up. Now when the kids want to learn how to fish, they learn on spinning tackle. Falcon

Welcome, So you're rebuilding your arsenal. Have you met our pet monkey yet? First name Bait. Falcon
  9. For over twenty years I've been using Trilene XL. I've tried other lines over the years, but always go back to XL. Falcon
  10. Retired college instructor. Falcon
  11. I live on Lake St. Clair, so for me there is no other lake. Falcon
  12. Nice muskie, very healthy. They are a hoot to catch. Falcon
  13. I'm with Catt, I haven't had much success with those baits either. Falcon
  14. I have two scales, spring, and digital. I check them about twice per season with my dumbells. Falcon
  15. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Roadwarrior gave you some very good advice. Once you read the articles, you can ask some more specific questions about the technique or water conditions you're fishing. Falcon
  16. I have a Revo SX and love it. I haven't used the other models you mentioned, but I wouldn't trade my Revo for anything. Falcon
  17. I was a fanatic back in the 60's and 70's. Fishing was the only thing to get me away from the drag strip. My buddies and I had three cars we raced, mostly stock and superstock classes. It got to be too expensive without sponsors so we sold everything. That's when I got my first boat. The Fuelers and Funny Cars are the real entertainment, but on occasion the Jet Cars would race...........Now we're talking CRAZY. I remember when everybody said that the ET's would never get out of the six second range, now I understand they are in the three's. What times did they turn yesterday? Falcon
  18. I did that once with an outboard motor. The mechanic wasn't pleased. As Gotta love It said, I'm pretty sure I was charged with a "stupidity tax". Falcon
  19. Glad to see you posting again................Hurry back. Falcon
  20. Welcome to the best fishing site on the planet. Falcon
  21. I have the same one as The Unabasser. I promised my wife that when I'm out in the boat the PFD is on. I have kept that promise. Even when I'm out with the family I will wear my PFD so the grandkids will wear theirs. If PaPa is wearing his, it must be cool. I hope everybody will start wearing theirs, if they don't already, because the "it isn't comfortable" line doesn't work anymore. I would hate to see one of the BR family become a statistic. Falcon
  22. Sunscreen stained the interior of my old boat. I've never noticed anything on my fishing equipment, but I usually wash my hands after applying. Falcon
  23. Hey BadChad, how are you doing? Are you still posting on NAFC? How is the fishing in British Columbia these days? It's good to see you posting on this site. Falcon (RAZZOPARDI)
  24. Another vote for Clear Lake. Possibly the California Delta. Falcon
  25. 75/25 For me. Since I retired earlier than most, I find more time to fish than my family and friends. I fish from a 25' Baja center console W/250 Merc. Falcon
