Berkley Big Game 15# Mean Green  :)

I don't know if they have it out where you are but Izorline XXX and Cuda are my favorite and they come in bulk spools (1/4lb) for $10-15 depending on the line size.  The price per yard is way cheaper than the $6-8 dollars you would spend on a filler spool of Trilene or Stren.

I've used Trilene XL for twenty years. During that time I've tried others, but I always end-up going back to XL.

Well, if you are open to another suggestion, you might give Yo-Zuri Hybrid a try. #12 is 19.5 lb test.

i just read alot of real bad reviews for the maxx saying that it has a bunch of memory. i think i'll stick to the XL.

For me, it's a toss up between original Stren and Trilene XL.  Handling wise, I really can't tell a difference.  I like original Stren in the fluorescent blue/clear.  Lately I've been using Stren Magnathin in 6# and 10# on a light and medium spinning rod, respectively.   It's the best handling mono I've tried to date.

I'm a Trilene guy too. XT on the baitcasters and XL on the spinning reels. I just love the toughness of the XT, that stuff can take a beating. Lots of people have complained about the new XT but I'm having no problems with it on my baitcasters.

I took RW's advice and gave yo zuri ultra soft a try. I love it, has nearly zero memory and wont break. I also like gamma line a lot.

I have had great luck with the flouroclear and really like yozuri. As far as straight mono suffix seige has been okay but nothing to write home about either. I think I just like the copoly's better.

can i get this yozuri line at dicks? how much money does it cost and which kind should i get? im looking for a line w/ very little memory and good strength.

Original Stren is pretty good.

Trilene XL is great for casting, but is not all that tough for weeds/cover.

The "new" Trilene XT is still tough, but it is less manageable than it used to be.

I can't stand the new Trilene MAXX. Too thick, too much memory, too hard to work with.

I have not had good luck with P-line floroclear, poor knot strength.

IF you want Mono for dropshot, jigging, or slip bobber, then get the Stren original, the Trilene XL will work too. If your looking for casting mono into cover, then Stren DuraTuf or Trilene XT will be needed.

These are the only lines I have tried, I have heard good things about Sufix, Silver thread, and Yo-zuri, but I have not tried them ...yet.

All these lines are on Pflueger Supreme spinning reels with Loomis IMX or GLX rods.

I went through about a dozen, maybe more different brands of mono trying to find the best.

I think p line cxx is the best, but trilene big game is so much easier to find, and it works good enough.

You can go crazy over this kinda stuff.   Every so often I do.

well guys turns out i decided to go the braid route. i got 50lb power pro. this way i can fish my expensive lures on my baitcaster. also it will be good for throwing snakes and other topwaters on the lilies.

One last suggestion, Triline Sensation. Very sensative.  however power pro is always a great choice.
