  4. Great story and fish. Makes me feel like a punk. My one-and-only sturgeon was thirty-five pounds. It was caught on the St. Clair River while fishing for walleye. I was using a 7' med spinning rod with 10# Trilene XL. Congratulations, Falcon
  5. Nicely done Russ. Cindy and I have the grandkids this weekend. I think we have a project. I wonder if my Dremel tool will work. Thanks for the idea. Falcon

  7. Time spent with my beautiful wife and the wonderful family she gave me is number one. After that, it's fishing. Teaching the grandkids to fish has been a hoot the past few years. Going to the casino with my wife once a week is alot of fun too. We've had a very profitable year so that makes it even more fun. Falcon
  8. Of the many tips I've picked up here that have refined my fishing skills, the one that has helped me the most was roadwarrior's post on fishing senkos for beginners. I had zero success with senkos before that post. I now consider senkos (or ***) my skunk busters. Thanks RW. Falcon

  10. T-rig for me. With all the grassy bottoms I fish, I don't snag as many weeds. Falcon
  11. I've tried backreeling on a few occasions. I wasn't very good at it and I lost fish. Since then, I let the drag do the work. Falcon
  12. For me it's: 1- The Godfather trilogy 2- Casino 3- Goodfellas 4- Untouchables Falcon
  13. That really sucks!! A few years ago I had a 25 HP Evinrude stolen right off my old boat. It's a pain, but after every outing I bring all my tackle bags and rods in the house. Hope they can get your stuff back Falcon
  14. I have the same reel, and don't have any issues with it. Falcon
  15. Here in Michigan, it is illegal to transplant game fish or viable eggs without a permit. All fish plants must be done under the supervision of the DNR. The DNR will measure the pond and then determine how many fish and forage should be planted. Falcon
  16. I'm glad to say you are wrong. If humidity kept the fish from biting, I wouldn't have caught any fish this season. I believe we're the only ones affected by the humidity. Falcon
  17. That's hilarious!! Falcon
  18. Mine was a 1963 16' Starcraft with a 60 H.P. Johnson. I bought it from a friend of a friend for $800.00 used it for seven years and sold it for $800.00. My brother-in-law still has it. Falcon

  20. Way to Muddy!! I remember those days, working full time and going to school. It's not easy. You might see that light at the end of the tunnel soon. Falcon
  21. What a fish!!! Last year a walleye fisherman caught a twenty pound wiper on Lake St. Clair, which is VERY,VERY unusual. I've fished this lake for over fifty years and never saw one. Even the DNR was perplexed. Falcon
  22. Nice job Chris!! The striper and the pics. Falcon
