so... im going to be a father.
Having a daughter was the greatest thing I have ever done. The only thing I will warn you about is the sleep deprivation you will experience. My wife and I hardly ever fought, but after our daughter arrived (she is 3 months old now), our frequency of fights increased (mainly due to a low patience tolerance induced by having no sleep). Now our daughter sleeps through the night and we don't fight much anymore. Just be prepared for it.

G. Loomis Kicks It Up A Notch!
Here is a direct quote from Bantam1 "...we use a blend of guides to acheive the correct balance on the rods. The stripper and next 3 guides are Fuji Titanium frame SIC. The rest of the guides are black REC Recoil. We figured out that the noise was eliminated by using these Fuji guides, and the double foot model were actually lighter than the REC. Best of both worlds!"

I'm screwed...anyone know a good divorce lawyer?

BCFR954 GLX Flippin stick
I have a Core 100MgFV on mine, but I think a Curado 201E7 will be nice. Let us know how it feels when you pull out that 8 lb. bass from the grass with it.

Good way to kill time
That is pretty good...though, I passed level 3 and nothing happens. It just stays frozen on the "Level Completed" Screen.

BCFR954 GLX Flippin stick
I think it will be a great frog rod for heavy slop. I use a Mossyback BCFR894 for my frogs, and this rod works well in heavy cover. In light cover, the BCFR954 might be a little bit of an overkill.

PIKE/MUSKY WEED STOPPER BEAD
The only thing I can think off that is remotely like what you described is as follows: http://www.muskyshop.com/modules/cart/products.php/nav_id/5/page/2/id/2159/name/OwnerSoftGlowBeads Though, these aren't for keeping weeds off, but more for protecting your top guide from getting knocked out by the swivel on your leader.

Need Help with Reel Selection
I have the BCR803 GLX with a Shimano Core 50Mg. I know you don't want to spend that extra $50, but I will tell you that it is worth every penny. That combo is unreal. It balances perfectly and fits really nice in ones hand. Though, I'm sure the Chronarch would be nice as well.

Any strict scary dads out there?
We should play, "Guess What Other Did." I am going to guess that he was receiving some services at a baseball game and it made it on the JumboTron.

BCFR954 GLX Flippin stick
I have this rod and use it solely for punching mats. It excels at this. I know J.P. DeRose uses this as his frog rod and I'm sure it would be a very good Carolina rod. I think at that price, it is a no brainer. As mentioned before, if you don't want it, I'll buy it and I already have one.

Summer Time SMB are Tough.
July and August I generally don't bass fish much and concentrate on muskie. Though, when muskie fishing, I always carry a bass rod rigged up with a senko to cast at that cruising smallmouth I sometime encounter (I've caught some nice shallow water smallmouths this way during the summer months)

Any strict scary dads out there?
As others have said, it is all dependent on what you did. Here is a short list of examples of things that I would not be happy with if someone led my daughter into doing. - Petty Theft (I would be mad, but it is a forgivable offence) - Certain Acts done between a man and woman, but not going "All In" (I would be mad, but forgiveness over time could be had) - Smoking Mild Illegal Substances (I would be mad, but forgiveness over time could be had) - Going "All In" (I would be very mad and forgiveness would be hard to achieve, but over time may happen) - Going "All In" resulted in some disease (Don't even bother coming around) - Going "All In" resulted in pregnancy (Angry would not be the word for it. You better be prepared to take care of this child the rest of your life and I would have a team of lawyers to make sure this is done) - Introducing her to Heroin or some other highly addictive and life destroying substance (I would hunt you down and would probably end up serving life for what I would do to you if I found you) I am not sure if what you did falls into any of these categories, but this could be a gauge as to what you might face. Good luck and try not to screw up in the future.

Re: Negative Tackle Warehouse experiences? anyone else?
I've made a lot of orders to Tackle Warehouse and the only issues I ever had was that one of the KVD Line Conditioner bottles leaked all over the inside of the box. When I called TW, they apologized profusely and offered to replace everything in the order. I told them that I was only hoping to get another bottle of KVD Conditioner and since everything else in the order was plastics in sealed bags, they didn't need to replace those items (but it was quite nice of them to offer). In three days there was my new bottle of KVD Conditioner. Just call and they will treat you right.

Curado D Series Update
The Curado D series wasn't around long at all, but I really like the 100D (wasn't a fan of the 200D). I actually like the 100D more than my 200E. It just fits better in my hand.

Transferring line from one reel to another?
Unfortunately, Fluorocarbon is not.

World Cup
I bet everyone in Brazil is smiling with the bracket their team has landed in. It is almost like getting a bye to the Finals (though, I would love to see the US have something to say about that)

Transferring line from one reel to another?
I've done it before many times (especially with Fluoro). I'll spool up a reel with some line and then realize I want to use a different reel for that rod, but want to keep the lines. Well, I spool the line off the reel onto a bulk spool and the respool what ever reel I want with that line. I never had problems with extreme memory (by using a bulk spool, you keep the end of the line that was on the inside of the other reel as the inside of this reel) and never had problems with line twist. I think you can do it with no problems (though, I have never done a line transfer with a spinning reel. I think that would be a little more problematic).

Wipeout
I would like to see some BassResource Memebers out there (though, I won't name any names)

Over 600 pike in a week
Great looking fish! Those 128's must have taken a beating. How many times did you have to change out the hooks?

How Does He Do It?
I know I can't cast a crankbait 70 yards. 50 yards at best (and that is after finally getting a rod that loads well when casting a deep diving crankbait and a reel the I can really dial in without getting backlash after backlash from trying to heave this lure). Though, I can launch lipless crankbaits I would say around 70+ yards, but I think everyone can.

G Loomis NRX...
I saw on another forum that this is going to be the new name of the G Loomis rods they have been working on for 17 years. I also found that G Loomis filed "NRX" for Trademark consideration in October of 2009 (http://www.trademarkia.com/nrx-77853260.html). I still can't wait to see what these suckers look like (though, I can wait to see how much they will cost).

Jerkbait set up
I use two set-ups for jerkbaits. My G Loomis SMR814C-CB with a Revo Premier & 12 lb. Fluoro. handles most of my jerkbaits (Pointer 78 up to Pointer 128). My G Loomis SMR882S-SP with Pflueger Supreme & 30 lb. Braid handles my soft plastic jerkbaits and lighter hard jerkbaits. I usually use these both just for jerkbaits, but have fished crankbaits with them and I have another SMR814 (with mono on the reel) that I use for topwater lures.

Any one drop shot with braid?
I drop shot with braid, but I don't think I would be brave enough to not add a fluoro. leader when fishing clear water for smallmouth bass.

Split Grip or Full Grip whats your preference?
I owned a split grip once and sold it after a few outings. I cast with two hands and I just hate holding onto a nub at the bottom of the rod. I will only buy a full grip rob, but with the way the trend seems to be going, I am going to have a harder and harder time finding full grip rods.
