I recently bought this lure thinking it looked nice and would work well. Although I have had two problems with it so far. First problem is I was using this lure with 15lb braid and every cast the braid would wrap around the front blade of the lure like 8-20times. Not only did this make the lure have worse action but It was also a pain in the *** getting out, and it happened on every single cast. Now I don't know if this would happen if I was using mono but do any of you guys know how to solve this problem? The 2nd problem was one of the eyes of the lure came off. I don't know how because I don't recall hitting anything with the lure, but thats my luck :-/. So can I send the lure back to Lucky Craft and will they fix it, if so is there a fee?

I use the black at night and either the frog color during the day or what I think is called the Bluegill color.

If you mean a worm with a curly tail then a 4inch or 7inch powerworm is my choice. But mostly I fish senkos/Gycb Kut-tails, and creature baits when it comes to soft plastics.

The 4inch and 7inch Powerworms work pretty well for me. Other then that I usually use GYCB products and various topwaters/hard jerkbaits. Saltwater though... Now thats another story..

Hah, it might not even last a single pike.

Can't go wrong with the 4inch Cinnamon Brown Senko.

I would buy a couple Booyah Spinner baits in White, and a chartruese. I'd buy a few hard jerkbaits such as Xraps, Lucky Craft Pointer, Yozuri Crystal Minnow. I'd also get 2-3 packs of senkos (in either green pumpkin, cinnamon brown, or black), get 1 pack of 4inch, 1 of 5inch, and 1 of 6inch. I'd buy a Black jitterbug for dusk/night fishing. And a pack of 4inch Powerworms in Camo or Red Shad (these worms are almost impossible to fish wrong, all beginners I see fishing them still catch a large amount of fish). And be warned once you get hooked on this sport you'll be spending alot of time at the large tackle stores buying all different kinds of baits, and after your purchase you will find yourself immediately looking at more baits online and saying "oooh... I need that!.. and that!!! and that!!! and THAT!!!!" and eventually you'll have your own personal tackle shop right there at your own home. So no one has fished the Shawgrigsby Toad?

The only waveworm I like is the Sweet Potato Pie color in 5inch, theres just something about that color which I have confidence in. Other then that the only stick baits I fish are Senkos/Dingers.

I have been fishing the Stanley Ribbit frog and it has been working great for me. I would say its my new "Go To" bait when it comes to fishing a soft frog. The feet action is amazing and it also doesn't roll over as much as other soft bodied frogs. The only problem is the only place I can buy them is either at Cabelas/Bps (both about 1hr 40mins - 2hrs away) or online. Dicks, Sports Authority and other local tackle retail stores don't have them :'(. Although what I have noticed is a frog that looks pretty darn similiar. I seen them at Dicks and if im not mistaken there called Shawgrigsby Toad. They look almost identical to the Stanley Ribbit. Do any of you guys know if these work just as well as the Ribbits? Ive never heard anything about em so im assuming they aren't to good? If they work just as well as the Ribbit I'll be set. Please tell me they do? :-?

Looking through my collection of softbaits, hardbaits and all other lures I feel like im a kid digging through a bag of halloween candy. The feeling is just great. Im always buying new lures and softbaits to add to my collection like an addiction. But hey it brings me happiness and what else more could you ask for in this world?

1/0 and 2/0 are a bit small no? I usually use them for 4inch worms. You sure I'll get a good hook-up ratio using these?

I go with Name Brand, I like top quality for fishing. I also follow the saying "You get what you pay for" which usually always seems to be true for me.

I usually just feel the softbait. If it feels heavy I'll slightly pull it and usually it will feel either a bit heavier then weeds where you know its a fish. Or the fish will move with the bait and obviously you know this is a hit.

I usually just store them in their original bags. Although I fish from the bank so instead of carrying a bunch of planos in tackle bags my soft plastic bags fit nicely in all the pockets of my vest. Now if I fished more from a boat... I'd probably store them in planos.

Just wanted to know the hook size you guys use when throwing this worm as Ive just received my order of them. Im thinking a 4/0?

My favorite Hollow Frog is probably the Scumfrog, I usually get a good hook up ratio with it and it doesn't pick up many weeds. My favorite soft plastic frog is the Stanley Ribbit Frog 3.5 inch. I used to be a big fan of the YUM Buzzfrog, but Stanley's frog just works much better for me.

When I go occasionally to buy some new baits at sports authority or some other retail store I usually spend atleast 20$. But the most Ive ever spent on baits was probably the time I went to cabelas. I think it was somewhere between 160-180$. Many times I spend too much money on baits after catching fish with them. For example, If I make a trip and catch 4 bass on a buzzbait, the next day or so I'll go out and buy 6 different colors/sizes of buzzbaits and spend around 40$. If I go out one day and do good with soft plastic frogs. I'll head to a store or place an order and buy 4 more packs of different colors etc another 40$. And the thing thats irritating is they usually won't work as good as they did the day they were nailin em. But hey, If im going to spend my money on something I rather it be fishing gear than food or drinks or cds or movies or any other luxury item. Fishing comes first!

I just was curious to know if trout will hit during the night. By this I mean 10pm-12pm. Also do you know of anything that will light up an area to make it easier to night fish? Maybe a lantern will work? I know flash lights but they don't light up a large area and there a bit of a pain.

Im going to be doing alot of dusk/night bass fishing because my work schedule has changed to 9am - 6pm. So Im looking on some tips for some good night time topwaters and tactics on how to fish them. Give me some good info ;D I want to catch some nice bass on the few hours I get . The best Ive used so far is a 3/8oz Black Jitterbug retrieved steadly along the side of stickpiles/pads. Which topwater works best for you at night? This includes softbait topwaters such as Hornytoads etc.
