First Fish on a Jig! Oooh Yeah!
Finally I put the time into this lure once again to see if I could use it. I never had confidence in the jig cause I tied it on once and made like a bunch of casts with nothing touching it. So I just dug it out again today and told myself I was gonna learn to use it. I was using the booyah baby boo jig in watermelon red and I rigged it with a zoom super chunk, I bounced it along the bottom and let it sit for 3-4 secs here and there and bounced it again, caught myself 6 bass. They were all little 12inchers but atleast I have confidence in this lure and now I have another lure to throw into my arsenal. I did miss one that was 14-15 inches while I was fishing it like a swim jig with a GYCB hula grub as the trailer, but what can ya do, im happy with 6 ;D. Im going to Dicks tomorrow to buy some more Baby boo jigs, any suggestions in any other jigs? Or in any particular colors?

Are There Wrong Ways to Hold a Bass?
Some people tell me your not suppose to let the bass's skin hit the ground because it loses its slime and the fish can get infected. Others tell me you shouldn't grip the bass by the lip and hold him up, because it damages their lip. I just wanted to know are these things true? What is the right way to hold a bass? I usually just grip him by the lip, or lay him on the ground for a quick 10secs to snap a picture next to my foot (so you can tell the size, kinda)

Using A Spinerbait For the First Time Help!
I usuaully either pull it real close along the top, so it creates a v in the water, almost fishing it like a topwater basiclly. Or I just cast and retrieve, and let the fish tell me which speed they'd like.

Looking for some good Line, low visibility
I would like a recommendation for some good line that is close to invisible beneath the water, and will be good for casting senkos and powerworms etc. I had Berkley Vanish on my reel before, but I just ran out of line and need to respool and im thinking about trying some better line if theres one out there. The vanish worked alright for me, it was basiclly invisible under water, but it seemed to fray a bit, and snapped fairly easy. Are there any good low visibility lines out there that hold up good and work for you guys? Also if the line had low memory that would be sweet too .

Is this the long senko with a curly tail on it?
Ya I think thats it, T-rig thanks 8-). You guys do good with it? Im thinking of getting a pack.

Is this the long senko with a curly tail on it?
Lightninrod, You posted a picture of a fish with the worm in its mouth, I think you called it a grub, it was a light green color. It has the body of a senko, and a curly tail at the end.

Is this the long senko with a curly tail on it?
Or is this just a grub like Berkley's Power Grub? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_91551_100007003_100000000_100007000_100-7-3

Hook size for YUM Buzzfrog
The YUM Buzzfrog hasn't been workin to well for me lately, just can't get the action I used to get on it. Maybe its because Ive been using size 4/0+ with it, and when I got the good action it was with a size 2/0 hook. The only prob wit a 2/0 hook is the hook up ratio greatly decreases >. So Ive been using the Stanley Ribbit, and thats been performing well, and it has great action with a 4/0+ hook. The only thing I like better about the Yum Buzzfrog is its a bulkier bait so it causes more of a water disturbance I think.. Although Im not going to force myself to use a 2/0 to use it. Also it would swim on its back about 50% of the time, I rarely have that problem with the Stanley. So Im sticking with the Stanley .

booyah pond magic
I use just a steady retrieve. Nothing to fast and nothing to slow.

Worm Colors
Red Shad, Camo, Black, Green Pumpkin blk flk, Watermelon blk flk, Watermelon red, Cinnamon Brown, Pumpkinseed, Pumpkinseed Grn Fleck, Pumpkinseed blk flk, All of these colors get the job done for me. I have seen alot of people using some color that is like black or greyish, with tons of silver flecks in it. Dunno what the color is called but was wondering if theres anything to it? As Ive seen many people using it. Anyone know?

Spotting Bass In The Shallows
Ive been walking a couple lakes and you see bass hanging around about 3-6 feet off the bank, most of them are dinks, but occasionally you see a decent fish. Ive been throwing 4inch Powerworms, and GYCB Kut-Tails to em and thats been working fairly well. But I just wanted to know if any of you guys have a key bait you choose when you can spot the bass in the shallows.

booyah pond magic

Softbaits for Crawling Over Weeds
Why add a weight? Wouldn't the weight make it a pain to keep the bait on the top?

Softbaits for Crawling Over Weeds
Ok, so today I tryed using a 4inch YUM Wooly Hawgtail, and I slowly crawled it over weeds, kinda like you would with a scumfrog or spro frog. Anyway I slowly twitched it over the weeds and the bass were nailing it. Although I tryed rigging some other softbaits like the GYCB Kreature, the Sizmic Jungle Toad, and the Zellamander, but none of them performed like the Wooly Hawgtail. All the others seemed to collect a bit of weeds. The Hawgtail stayed pretty weedless. So I was curious if any of you guys have any baits you prefer for this technique because its been working great for me and I'd love to add some others to the "weed crawling arsenal" other then the Wooly Hawgtail. Thanks 8-)

GYCB Flat Tail Worm
If not fished on a dropshot rig is this worm useless? I could barely put it on a hook it was so thin. Although I managed to and nothing seemed to be interested in it. Just wanted to know if anyone has a way of fishing them that produces so I know I didn't buy em for nothing.

Swimming a jig
I was watching Lindner's Angling Edge, and he was using a average jig with a gulp frog as the trailer and swimming it back to the boat. He seemed to be nailing em with this technique. So have any of you guys tryed this? I fish from the bank but im thinking of trying it in place of a spinner bait. Do you have success with this technique? Also if not gulp frog what trailers do you prefer for swimming.

Anyone ever use the Sizmic Jungle Toad?
I was looking through ***.com and came upon this bait in the Creature category. I noticed every color available was sold out. So I'd thought I'd investigate. Im guessing you just fish this bait weightless? or t-rigged? There are 10 color choices and all of em are sold out, somethings gotta be up. Let me in on the secret ;D.

Ribbit
I use a 4/0 Gamakatsu for these frogs. The action seems to work fine and 75% of the time I'd say the frog lands/swims on its belly. But maybe im just lucky .

Zoom Horny Toad?
Heh, never had too much success with the Horny Toad. Buy a pack of Stanley Ribbits, I guarantee you'll like em.

Soft plastic Go-To bait other then a senko/stick
What would you say your Go-To soft plastic bait is, please exclude the senko or any other stick bait, just too many people use them and im starting to get bored of em. So I was wondering which softbait worked best for you other then the stickbait category. Mine would have to be a 4inch Powerworm in either Camo or Red Shad.
