  1. Never have but I am have invite to if the water thickens up enough
  2. Mine is going out today
  3. This will be for my back up stock. I don’t have a dedicated fishing store less than an hour away so when I go I usually stock up when I go or when I order online.
  4. It will get stocked up, I have more Baits to hang but I am low on most items with it being so late in the season. It will be full but I have to buy more hooks.
  5. I need more hooks
  6. I got it at Menards, they were the only store in my area that carries it. I think you can get it from Amazon. They make different lengths 16”, 32” and 48”. It wasn’t cheap, but I got it on a really good sale. Changing that today!
  7. I kayak fish and I have started to acquire enough soft plastics I don’t have the need to carry them all with me every trip. So, I decided to use one of the walls in the spare bedroom for storage. I don’t like the look of traditions peg board so I opted for diamond plate gavalized. Got 5.5ftx5.5ft of space to start filling up tomorrow. What do you think?
  8. If you are just starting out I wouldn’t go all out. Start with a basic worm, depending on water color and clarity get both black and blue and green pumpkin or green pumpkin with red flake. As you start to develop your fishing style it will lead you towards certain types of soft plastics.
  9. I have 4 of them. 7.5 and 8.3. I use them for everything you would throw on a baitcasters except flipping and Frogging. These are my main go to reels.
  10. I was going to fish a tournament there but things happened at the last minute and I wasn’t able to fish there.
  11. 1. Zoom Fluke 2. Booyah Pond Magic Spinnerbait 3. Zoom Fluke 4. Strike King 2.5 Squarebill 5. Strike King 2.5 Squarebill
  12. I have actually never fished there. I have heard pretty mixed reviews most of which people have a really hard time catching anything. I will probably try it next year.
  13. Spent the lake couple days scouting out Kentucky Lake. Very very productive. Now we’ll see how everything plays out in March. caught a few Largemouth, White bass and a 12 inch Hickory shad. Check out this one weird bass!
  14. Enjoy the learning time, spring will be here soon.
  15. I also use mostly the Lews Tournament MB. Haven’t had any issues with any of mine.
  16. I had a tournament on both of those lakes this summer. Celina is very clear, so keep that in mind if you fish there. I saw a lot of big bass when I was out there. I compete against a lot a lot of guys that fish Bluegrass. If you find the right spots there are some monsters.
  17. There was talk of a meet up about a year ago but it hasn’t happened. I’m down in Columbus, where are you?
  18. I spent yesterday afternoon looking for spots on in Kentucky Lake, using Navionics and Google Earth. Having The Chart on the laptop and Google Earth on the big screen works the best for me cause I can look at the same spots at the same time in two different ways.
  19. I have a small spinnerbait I put a paddletail trailer on that has been catching a lot of fish. I have any got to bait it would be a fluke. I have also caught a lot of fish using a fluke chasing shad.
  20. Welcome, you will find lots of useful information on the site. Don’t be afraid to reach out to one of the clubs in the area to meet people. Another option is to get a fishing kayak. I know there are several people up in that area that do kayak tournaments.
  21. Was thinking about getting out on the kayak today but I can do cold and I can do rain but I really don’t enjoy 40 degrees and rain. I’m planning to do my first scouting trip for KBF Nation Championships on Kentucky Lake next weekend, so I will probably continue to review Navionics and Google Earth to Identify potential prime locations for March.
