  1. yes, i fish the missouri junior bassmasters. Email an adult club near your area, ask them if they have a junior bassmaster chapter. Junior bassmasters go up to 18. To fish most of the adult clubs, you have to be 16. If you dont have a boat, no problem. Non-boaters are scarce, and tournaments need non-boater partners now days.
  2. thanks catt
  3. ok. I am fishing a night tournament coming up. I know the basic's of night fishing, but need a little help on the places i should target. My main question is that this lake is ultra clear...i mean crystal.....will this effect my lure choices? i planed on fishing dark lures. Thanks
  4. Hey guys! I am looking into purchasing a new rod....I need your help. I am stuck between the airrus puls-r or the kistler magnesium. What are some good/bad things about them. I was also looking at the airrus ultra xl (i think thats what its called) but i dont think I would like the removible butt section. What do you all think?

I have really enjoyed using the jig lately....mainly because I got the skill down. I noticed that the jig hit can be just like a worm hit, but dif. Most of my jig fish suck it in, and swimm left or right. Or they just suck it in and start shaking like crazy. But I also do feel that famous "tap tap" like a worm bite.
  6. perfectly said sky chimp
  7. my favorite color is rainforest yellow
  8. thanks guys! Yeah nothing spectaculair, but it was a fun day. especially because I cought all my fish on topwater. I rather catch one fish on top water, then a ton of fish on anything else. Its just the way I am. And if anyone is wondering about the caution tape in the backround, it was from the night before...they shot off fire works...so no harm done
  9. Ok guys. My cousin and I went camping this weekend and there was a small pond nearby. So we fished it all weekend. The pond had hydrilla allllllll over the bottom. Well it was hot all day. My cousin was using a banjo minnow, and tore them up, but this one came on a prop-bait: About the average fish (caught a ton this size) But I cought the biggest, on a XPS popper. I dont know how long it was, or how heavy it was, but it just crushed that popper. here you go: here's another: thanks for looking, Craig ps: sorry about my eyes, i was tired, because it was 6 in the morning
  10. ok, i was gonna make a new thread, but i figured that i might as well put it here. My Revo S got wet over memorial day. Ever since then, it has been real rough (not as smooth as it was) well, i went to grease it up, and I cant get the side with the handle off. Any who, I lost my recipt. Do you think Abu will be a little flexible with me?
  11. I highly reccomend taking it off. unless you want a broken rod. In MY expierances, it does feel good. But when i casted my lure one time, all of a sudden BAM! the whole "screw-in compartment" broke off, with the cork....this not only happend once, but twice! now I know you might just by pass this comment, but I would try your rod for a couple of fishing trips with out the balancing kit and just see how it feels/if you can get used to it. If not, then i guess use it.
  12. 1) I use that knot. 2)Tell you the truth...I do not use a trailor hook..or even a trailor for that matter. 3)My favorite spinnerbait has 2 colorado blades (one small, one big...forgot the sizes) with a lot of chart. and white, and a few strands of yellow.
  13. i tried it before...it seemed that once they felt the bobber , they spit out the senko.
  14. i'll second that slipping comment
  15. they do have great action...but i have not caught a single fish on it.

  18. Thanks for all of the replies guys! They've been very helpfull.
  19. Sounds like a good day. I usually have really good luck with black power worms in the rain.
  20. reel it really slow, or hop it off the bottom
  21. Ok. I am wondering 2 things. 1) What is your fav. jig/color for staind/muddy water? 2)What is your fav. jig/color for clear water? Thanks a lot.
  22. mine would be hot dogs...but cast gently, or else the hotdog might fall off. just set it on the bottom and wa la.
  23. thanks dan.
  24. Ok, so i found out that the lake i fish DOES have crawfish in it...but they are all a redish color. Would it be effective to use a black/blue, black, brown, etc jig? Thanks
