  1. Check them out where
  2. The real problem lies in people. It seems everyone wants everything for the cheapest they can find it. They want to stop in at there local mom and pop fishing shop and look at items and get $10 worth of info on it (where r the fish biting what's everyone catching them on what got baits won last Wednesday night's local tournament) then run home and but it on line cause they can save $5. It used to be order it from b Pro and cables to save a few bucks which ran many mom n pop shops out now the internet is doing the same to them by having more online retailers varying more items that people want.for a better price or just the convenience of one order not three
  3. If you think that's crazy there tackle box is like $700
  4. Cabelas bass pro and gander are geared more towards the guy who fishing maybe 4-6 times a year anymore. I remember when gander mountain first moved in here what a selection. I swear for the time they had everything. Now ur lucky if they have more then a local shop or Wal-Mart.
  5. Oh trust me I get it I'm happy they were caught. It's not right to steal someone else's work and claim it for your own but as stated above China don't honor out patents. On the other hand out patents aren't the greatest either when considering someone can change.somethong so minute and find a way around them. I work in the Rv industry and have a friend that designed and patnlented a tire rack 3 months later.some one copied his idea used different size bolts and stole his design. Patents are only as good as the lawyers behind them.
  6. Ya but look how many companies knock off good baits look how many knock off senkos there are. Or here is a better example of a knock off being way cheaper.the rick clunn knock off vision 110 from 25 down to 7 that's. A huge price gap. But I bet his knock offs were still there. Look how many companies have knocked off or basically copied other baits
  7. Lol that's really unlikely.to get one to excel at jerks and poppers the plopper and spooks would be to heavy and then vice versa. So honestly with no budget get two rods old go dobyns fury 734 for plopper and spook. Then get a tatula 6'9" ml for poppers and jerks. There is no real point in dropping allot of coin on a rod that u aren't really trying to feel anything on. You would be better served spending the extra money on more of a variety of baits to throw on ur new rods then spending a bunch on one rod which wouldn't be used to its full potential
  8. So for fun ild suggest something in a 6'6"-7'6" or longer depending on if is plausable med or med light
  9. It all depends on what kind of fishing u are doing. Personally my most fun rod to fish with is a 9'6" ml South bend trophy taker it makes everything look huge . even a 4" gill bends it over. My second choice would probably be my no 7'2" champ extreme same thing makes everything seem like it's fighting more.
  10. My favorite rod to fish for fun is a 9'6" ml South bend trophy taker I actually think it's a salmon rod.but I use it for gills a finesse bass on small ponds makes everything look huge. Bought it at a garage sale for $5. Sure wish I could find a couple more
  11. I like my sunline super natural but I only have it on a bait caster. So far I'm very impressed. When spoiling make sure the line comes off the bottom of the spool. Some guys try and do a reverse twist but I find it to be a waste of time just come off bottom keep it tight and use a line conditioner
  12. The refurbished rods are supposedly no different then a brand new one when it comes to warranty.
  13. It's hard to deny the success of the vision 110. But there are many brands that work I think it really comes down to what was mentioned above temp water condition forage type and weather. For me another major factor is the predators in the lake if i find pike are biting good ill take off my 110 and throw something a little cheaper. I find most times i have a vision 110 tied on then a ito shiner or duo
  14. I would think a cheap swim bait rod would work best. Another option would be a cheap catfish combo to help cast that kind of weight. I would run some stout line 20# plus depending on spool capacity old probably lean towards something that floats like a cheap mono or braid
  15. Also what's up with it asking me if I'm a robot or not all the time now. Kinda ridiculous considering I post quite frequently. earlier I got asked to do it to post then reasked wen I wanted to move to a different thread
  16. You are probably hitting it with your finger and pulling it up try holding the rod old school and see if it happens. I.e. pistol grip fashion
  17. If u want to use r bend spinnerbaits get surgical tubing and close off the r bend with it to use a steel leader. Alot cheaper then buying all new spinnerbaits. I'm personally a fan of solid strand wire leaders but I make my own as well. So one kinking isn't really an issue for me
  18. Made it out on clear Sat night fished til 2 am managed one short pike on top water ( I have still not found a good top water bite I don't understand) switched to a Ned as sun went down for a big goose egg on it back to top as the sun was in its final half hour still nothing fished top til about1030 At this point I went to a bladed swim jig most fish I've ever caught on one all were rock bass lol well and two bonus walleye typical day on clear gotta love to hate this lake but it keeps me coming back for more
  19. Sunline supernatural mono...when u but it but it by line diameter not lb test I made that mistake the first time I bought it the ten pound of this is super thin not that that is a bad thing but had I known I would have went with 12-15#. Stuff casts great
  20. Are u eating them...if so just use a treble and make your own snell and get it hooks back when u clean them. Is a super duty snap and u can eliminate retiring every time u catch one
  21. I'll be honest I really like that zombie green....on my ice fishing rods and spider rigging rods lol other then that im more of a black and yellow guy go Steelers
  22. Jerk baits are good year round. I always have one rod on deck ready to throw one. As the temps get warmer just remember jerk it til she swallows. I fish them alot more aggressively as the temps get warmer
  23. The sv braking system is why...it is on at all times...
  24. I love mine. I actually purchased for skipping docks but it has slowly become one of my favorite reels. At first it took some getting used to but now I enjoy using it. Very very smooth reel
