  1. i love slammers, one of my favorite baits.
  2. yep sure did. i've night fished this place for the past 2 years so i've got the feel for it. but now i know theres a good bite. WATCH OUT!!!
  3. haha i go big, im kinda mad i forgot my buzz jet. i love big baits at night. my most productive night bait is a 9inch wake bait. caught a lot of fish on it
  4. i love chatterbaits, i fish them like a jig tho. black and black/blue with a big creature bait. biggest ive caught on it was a 6.6 in september a few years ago, first time throwing it. they do good at night to went out for a night bite. missed a lot of fish. fishing topwater swimbaits. 6 to 15 inches. most of the baits i used got bit. i just couldnt connect. the fish would blow up on it but miss the bait. even had fish hit the 15 inch snake. some good blow ups to
  5. swimbaits from 6 inch rats to 15 inch snakes, the rats, snake, and jitterbug got big.
  6. went last night. missed a lot of fish, had a bunch of blowups on topwater but couldnt stick em. idk what happened. i didnt even feel the fish when they hit
  7. i love the strike king tube
  8. i fish swimbaits but never fished the dead twitch. what i think is: big bass want an easy meal. all trout arent going to survive the imidiate stocking. im sure some going into shock or just are weak and tired. maybe got banged up on the ride over to the pond. thats like a diner bell to bass. they see a struggling trout up top. how could they resist.
  9. dammmmm, that sucks. in 2016 i had 10 bass over 5lbs, biggest 7.8 and 2 smallies over 5. wouldnt mind that happening again, that year was epic.
  10. hell ya shoot for a 9. or maybe switch to smallie fishing more. thats something i seriously need to work on. theres always one bigger. theres a rumor of the state shocking up a 16lber few weeks ago
  11. what you get it on? i've only broken 5 twice both in the same day. still cant get over this fish, so epic dude, once again congrats
  12. you'd be surprised at how many 8s are pulled, i broken 7 3 times that i can remember. saw a 8.3 last week as well as a few 7s. a 9 was caught a few weeks ago
  13. absolutly insane, congrats. hell of a smallie. i caught a 6.9. d**n near fainted, i could only imagine a 9er. MA state record is 8.2
  14. you guys that havent caught a big largemouth must live in canada. i saw clean beds yesterday, only had an hour to toss a line. missed a few, pads were coming up. going to head out today for slump buster. problem is IDK where to go. to many spots to fish
  15. d**n. it could always be worse. that 5.9 was in the first week of march, after that its been garbage
  16. Thats awesome. congrats on the first fish. nice white perch
  17. im going to that spot we talked about on thursday, water temps in the low mid 50s, going to toss a topwater of some sort and jigs mostly. i never use swimbaits there, some reason they dont respond to swimbaits well. mostly just regular bass gear. my 6.9 smallie came on a topwater with the water in the mid 50s so lets see if it works here. thinking about night fishing tomorrow as well. who knows, its May a new month. lets put April away. April SUUUUCCCKKEEEDDDD. caught 2 bass all month, that equaled 4lbs
  18. yep, up here in New England its been wild weather. warm weather one day followed by snow the next. but the pattern has changed to being a warmer one. thank God. so things are looking up. temps are finally in the 50s but even with the warmer water when its still cold out and raining good luck. gota keep on fishing, it'll get better
  19. sooo true about social media. bright side, saltwater is picking up in my area! nice to get on some good fish after a slow start to the freshwater
  20. the past 2 months have been horrible. havent broken 3lbs in 2 months. the whole start of the year since february has been a bust. one bass over 3lbs, at 5.9 need a slump buster, i kinda lost hope and confidence. cant wait till warm summer nights and i can night fish. and actually get fish. the pickerel bite has been fire, kinda had enough with catching pickerel. i think the slump has been largely due to the insane rollercoaster temps. and cold wet weather pattern. also doesnt help, everytime i log on to facebook, i see another slob bass caught today. saw an 8 caught today. this certainly doesnt help my season goal of an 8 plus. need a confidence boost end rant
  21. wellll glad things are warming up, its time to get JIGGY WITH IT
  22. ohh d**n. i was certainly under gunned with my 10-20lb braid and 20lb floro leader. but ive caught 30lb salmon on 4-10lb line. man i need a big snook, tarpon, redfish and jack. those fish are my main mission next florida trip. they are high up on the list with a blue fin tuna
  23. we never went to tampa, we stayed in stuart for the week. im itching to get back there. we saw MONSTER snook at night, a lot of them to. but unfortunately we didnt hook any of them. we need to go back with a different approach
  24. next time i want a red, big snook and a tarpon. i wish we did more inshore fishing. last day we got on some good inshore fishing. fish were on bait in shallow water along docks, thats when i got the sea trout and the 2nd snook. i think next time instead of going for many species, i want to target a few species. and only fish for those species. going down there is making me want to leave MA and live there. it was amazing!!
