Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Went to UP State NY on my annual fishing trip. Wednesday it was gorgeous so i had to go out back off the dock and catch a couple stripers even tho we were leaving that night and i should of been packin. Drove all night got up there 8 am Thursday. Thursday is was the best day, caught my very first Atlantic Salmon, (not a landlock). Im so happy I caught it. Caught a nice big king and a good brown. hooked and lost a few fish that day. friday same spot. i managed a big brown, a nice steelhead and a king. Caught a few gobys, rock bass and white perch while going after walleye. My first gobys, caught a lot of them. Lost a big brown and what could of been my first Coho. IM ON A MISSION FOR ONE. IT KILLS ME I HAVENT CAUGHT ONE YET. the big brown went under a d**n stringer of fish that was to far out in the water and it broke off. Saturday was a bit tougher, we fished a few new areas. I hooked into many fish, lost all of them, big fish and super light line, hard to land em. Hooked into a lot of kings, but i was out gunned. Had zero chance. I hooked into a very big brownie. broke off. My buddy said it was at least 15lbs, it was a giant. unfortunately with alot of people around, they dont always know to not cast when someone is fighting a fish. GOD d**n IT I HATE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! after i got back home from the long drive, i saw fish busting out back, grab the rod and caught a couple schoolies on topwater. Now back to reality =(

Difference in Lakes within Close Proximity
with me, i have a fish certain ways for certain places. let me explain it. deep clear i fish a certain way. shallow weedy i fish a certain way. shallow weedy. frogs, lots of topwaters, weedless weightless plastics, my favorite is fluke baits. flipping pitchin. swimbaits. deep clear. lots of jigs and bottom crawling soft swimbaits. texas rig plastics and tubes. some topwaters like spooks and wakes. winter blades deep over structure in clear water, all i use. acctually all i have confidence, cant get bit on a jerkbait to save my life. those are my confidences baits for those certain types of lakes, im sure theres are better or other baits that i can get fish on in these spots. but its hard putting down my confidence baits.

Cape Cod / Truro area Sept 15 salt water info pls
race point. but theres alot of seals around the outer cape. so its a pain in the arse. i live further north in MA, but i can tell you fall run is happening, peanut bunker have shown up. go to buzzards bay for some bones, ablies and blues. dont really have much info for surfcasting that area other then race point. you could also try barnstable harbor mouth or brewester flats. but those spots arent really "Surfcasting".

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Fished friday ALLLLL DAY. we grinded for fish. i was on a mission for some quality fish, found the fish stacked up we fished the entire pond multiple times. most of the fish came in one area. my buddy had better luck managing 3 or 4 3-4lbs fish and handful of 2lb smallies. i managed 2 bass 3-4lbs. i missed 2 big fish, one hit really friggin hard on a swimbait crawled up a drop off. the next one was on a jig. came up tried jumping couldnt. spit the hook. we both saw the fish and it had some weight. i stuck with the jig and swimbait the WHOOLLLEEE day. had some good solid whacks but couldnt stick em. my buddy fished tubes and the small savage gear 5 inch swimbait.

i'll 3rd wachusett. great place, fish the basins and causeways, youll get some decent fish and a variety as well, great place. it can be tough tho but the basin, bridges and causeways are the best for shore access, fishing especially for the kids got out pike fishing on saturday. only managed one but had many follows and hits. i had the lure hanging off the side of the boat and this fish SMOKED IT. was fiddling with something else not paying attention. had 3 good hit on the same lure doing the same thing. my buddy caught a nice pike about the same size early in the day, i caught this one later in the day. we both had good hits. he broke off a decent fish.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
well fished my arse off all weekend. had a 3 day weekend. thursday night went on my uncles boat to chase some stripers. ended up with one schoolies his buddy caught, i missed a large fish on a live mackerel. had 2 other runs and missed them both as well. friday up at 3am, fished the canal, it sucked.no fish. saw fish busting up top. small fish blitzing, feeding on peanut bunker. my buddy hit me up and wanted me to fish his in his car top boat for some bass fishing in the afternoon at one of our favorite spots. he managed a 2lb smallie on a tube. i missed 2 solid fish on a jig and caught a healthy 3.5 larry. saturday fished the canal with some buddies who are up for the weekend from jersey, one of the guys is a plug maker. great plugs. up at 3 am. fished 430 to 11, saw fish once again, after the current switch at a different spot. 945 ish, saw lots of fish blitzing. but of course we were on the other side. saw a GIANT splash, idk what the hell it was but it was big. called it a day. sunday was planning on going for pike with the same buddy i fished with friday, didnt end up going, flat tire in his trailer. so i went back to sleep. fished in the yak for an afternoon bite at another honey hole. wind was blowing a good clip, tough fishing in the yak. managed a small bass on a swimbait.

i'd take about 1000 pictures and videos, weigh it, kiss it, and let it swim free. i wouldnt weigh it in, thats a life time fish especially for MA and new england. the fact that i caught that fish is all i need. i dont need a pin saying that i caught it. a picture is all i need.

coffee water?
i fished the hell out of it with my black blue chatterbait. i did get one dink on it last time. hahaha nah wasnt mark. it was a different buddy. it was a good fish to. just took the cast, hes trying to get my attention to talk to me. the rod under my arm trying to sign, then the fish hits! NOOOO. it was a good fish to. i lost a rod salmon fishing in NY. high river fast and muddy, i was talking to mark and drop the rod in the water. that went bye bye. chartreuse, ill add it to my line up. i got an all chartreuse ms slammer. its a big 9 inch swimbait. i fished alot of my big swimbaits that day. especially the 15 inch slammer snake. its black with red spots, idk if the color was a good choice. but felt like the bait was a good choice in the swamp.

coffee water?
I got this pond that has coffee water, super stained but not muddy. its a small pond. theres big bass here, on of them haunts me. but when i lost those 2 fish that day, the water was super low( severe drought) and muddy (not stained). the bass were congregated in the deepest spot. i hooked one deadsticking a big 9 inch topwater swimbait. missed it because i was signing to my deaf buddy. the 2nd one, absolute tank. was on a chatterbait down deep. thought i hooked a log till it moved. user error. now that the water is back to normal. how would you guys fish this place? its got lot of logs, stumps, and lily pads. deep water and an 8-10 foot channel that connects the 2 basin. theres also super shallow areas as well. what lures would you guys fish? do i go really shallow or target the drop offs and deeper water?
