  6. i catch swimbait fish in puddles. caught this fish in an 11 acre pond on a 9 inch swimbait here in massachusetts! big baits will work any where. i prefer shallow pond because i have most confidence in fishin topwater swimbaits near cover. most of my fishing is in ponds less the 100 acres and less then 20 feet deep.
  7. i love swimbaits! care to share a picture of the hudd and matts. only baits i have i dont fish are the really old antique plugs from the 50s, 2 boxes full. all my baits i fish! got an OG Woodtail! awesome bait, 05 slammer that gets chewed! only bait im not sure i would fish would be an 1990s slammer. that bait is to beautiful and rare!
  8. Fishin magician skid stick Ms slammer a jig zoon fluke texas rig
  9. ive caught some large bass in early spring even on topwaters. find a sun baked shore fish there with jigs and jerkbaits. shallow ponds are the best to start, theres no where for them to go. crawl jigs and swimbaits on bottom. if fishing deep water, find structure, dips and holes, steep drops, humps, blades, jigs, jerkbaits, swimbaits will work
  10. like a fish, i was born in the water haha. i used to dive under my uncles lobster boat when i worked with him, middle of the ocean, dove down to cut rope from the prop. used to spear fish and catch lobster with my hands. i once dove 20 feet deep with just a knife and a mask. stabbed a fish on the bottom and ate it for dinner. so a buddy and i were wade fishing in our bathing suits, we waded to an island, not catching anything i decided to swim to a rock on the other side with just my rod and the lure i had on. got to the rock started casting. a monster inhaled my lure. a weedless rigged lunker city fins fish 6 inch. so i land the fish and im on the other side of the pond from my gear and my buddy. i had to swim back. so put the rod handle in my mouth, the hawg bass pinned against my chest. swam back fish was 24 inches long, 7.5lbs
  11. not since last week! when i caught that bass!
  12. i love using muskie plugs for bass, they get bit alot up here in the New England. i love them! pretty much big topwaters. big 8 inch jitterbugs are the best!!

  14. went out for trout yesterday, lot of people out, only one flag for us. my first fish of the year. chunky 2.5lb bass.
  15. i jig alot through the ice. i caught this fish while jiggin for panfish. small jig with a gulp 1 inch minnow. ive jigged for smallies as well. blades baits, small rattle traps, drop shot im sure would work. ive caught them on spoons. but hair jigs, maribou jigs and small plastics on light jig heads will be the best bet.
  16. ms slammers, fishing magician skid stick, i love those baits! and each color!!
  17. i usually jig! i love catching crappies and perch through the ice! have caught some nice bass and trout jiggin. if its an all day thing, ill set up traps, if i only got a few hours ill jig.
  18. been MIA recently! just got back from NH over christmas week, it was friggin cold up there! lowest was -12, got out ice fishing tuesday balmy 15 degrees with 15-20 mph winds. caught a nice pickerel and a tiny perch. went snowmobiling and hiking as well, wanted to go skiing but it was to d**n cold. went out ice fishin over the weekend back home. 5 inches at least, saturday a small pond, caught 2 crappies and a perch, didnt get to fish much of the pond, the land owner likes to skate and asked me to stay away from what is the good part of the pond to fish. sunday took my buddy ice fishing! his first time. we fish here alot in the open water but my first time here on the ice! slower then expected. lot of perch and a few big pickerel! the ice was thick here in plymouth! at least 6inches BE SAFE GUYS!!! if one pond is safe DONT assume another is safe, each pond freezes different! ALL WAYS CHECK THE ICE!! IN MANY DIFFERENT SPOTS!!!

  23. i got fish here on shiners in 30 feet, but never really fished deep with lures in stained water! ive tried before with some big swimbaits! they LOVE big swimbaits here! havent produced much! i had a hit coming up the steep drop last time i was there in november! it was on a hudd 68, it was at the top of the drop off! my biggest bass 7.8 was on a deep crank 9 inch slammer! cranked along the drop off, but that was in june!
  24. when i think of muddy water i mean like muddy water a foot or less viability, but when i search for stained water fishing advice it always come up as muddy water advice is there a difference between the way you fish muddy/murky water vs stained water. i love shallow stained water! fishin jigs in trees! never fished a deep stained water pond!
