  3. got out saturday in the storm the bite SUCKED!!! fished plymouth. marked fish down deep 20-40 feet saw some fish suspended. paddled to a back cove water was colder 45, got a fat pickerel on a jerkbait and missed a yellow perch! tried fishing deep humps couldnt get anything on blades or hair jigs! water temps 45-47.
  4. silver or gold! 1/4 and 1/2, i use medium action rod 8-10lb floro! slow life the blade! so you cast out! let it hit bottom! lift till you feel it vibrate! let it fall! pause there then repeat! the cadence of the lift and pause you need to find out on the water! some times dragging it over the bottom works! its a killer cold water bait!!
  5. i am also in search of a career in the environment! very passionate about wildlife, fishing, nature and the environment this is a great thread!
  6. got out both days! saturday went in the yak to a new pond in wareham, water temps started out fishing jerkbaits, small plastic swimbaits and blades. only one pickerel i caught early, fished the drop offs with out any action, pond was deep and weedy. deepest was 22 feet. on they way back i decided to fish a flat with a very steep drop! last spot of the day, immediately got fish! caught 2 largemouth and a ton of pickerel, saw some surface action, got fish here on jerbaits, and weedless plastics yesterday got a late start, hungoover was going to go to my buddies house to watch the game but his dog got sick and puked all over the house. so i went fishin. caught a pickerel thats it
  7. we can make that happen!! got some coldwater spots that you will deff get that job done! ill be out this weekend!! idk where to go tomorrow! ill have to see what the wind is doing!
  8. good luck! i fished it just before sunset last weekend! water as 48 marked something deep but didnt get anything
  9. negative ghost rider, i fish all winter! i get way to bored kept inside and start going crazy! i need to at least get out and try! i usually do go crazy if i dont catch fish even after trying

  11. yea thats very true! SLAMMERS FOR THE WIN!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SLAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. your not fishing slow enough! try texas rig or jigs!
  13. you dont! hes not active online! newenglandfishing.net is your best bet to contact him. hes not active and doesnt respond to messages. if he sees your message then maybe hell respond back but that doesnt happen often, people wait years before he responds! if you want one, you need get lucky! pay high flipper prices at least X3 retail, get in touch with pat, or some one be very generous and sell you one for retail. best shot at getting one is paying high prices
  14. not sure! if you are down this way! hit me up and lets slay some stripers or bass!
  15. i love the strike king coffee baits! the coffee tube is deadly on smallies!
  16. yea hes quick and easy to deal with. i usually buy when he posts whats for sale if you dont want to order offline, go to MGC fishing equipment in Hanover,ma off 53 near the old building 19. he sells a TON of swimbaits! slammer, hudds, savage, duo, bullshads, deps! crazy amount of baits!
  17. Ebait, swimbait city and mike shaw on facebook are the places i buy from! got some sick deals on slammer from the forums to! love my 05 chartreuse slammer! it got chewed this year just got a slammer snake this past weekend!!
  18. yea thats something that would be pretty sweet!!! but i wouldnt dare to open a hudd and try it. i do tie my own hair jigs! i suck at it. just started last week, i have tied before in the past few years but wasnt serious about it! cumberlans jig is awesome and the punisher jig. the punisher jig was getting bit better then the cumberlans. the punisher jig was a bit heavier with a small paca craw. black has been the go to. also got some nice yellow perch!
  19. Got onto them pretty good yesterday! Water temps 48-49 Smaller deeper pond in Plymouth! Picked off fish here and there until I got on to em! Found fish from 10 feet to 25! The area I had best luck in was in a bowl that runs along the shore! I already fished it early got some fish just before sunset came back! Smoked em! The bowl starts out shallow on the south end drops quick into 20 feet then comes up quick on the north end! Most fish were on the hair jigs. Got a few on blades to! No fish on jerkbaits! Today fished a new pond! 5 acres 30 feet deep! Looks awsome no fish! Then fished a smallie only place no fish here either blades hair jig and jerkbaits @MassYak85 here’s a picture of the harness in a hudd
  20. i had a hummingbird fish finder! but i didnt really trust it!
  21. i got plenty of 68s, tried a 1 ounce bucktail, 3:16 rising sons and mission fish but didnt have any luck! but ill definitely have to keep fishing it! i know theres giants here!! 10lbs maybe definitely possible. an 8lber i think so theres way to many big bass here, but its weird ill catch a ton of small fish 1-2lbs then a fish over 5. theres no predators either, theres no fish that compete with the basss for food. largemouth, big golden shiners, perch and sunfish. there maybe other fish here as well but these are the fish that i have found so far. there is no fishery data for this pond either! one of those deep remote quiet ponds. best part is people will fish it and tell me it sucks! theres only small fish here!!
  22. They respond very well to big swimbaits here! at least large topwaters. havent really fished a hudd here much! ive tried once or twice! my buddy lost a big fish at the hole the only time ive ice fished it! to big to fit through! so if they bite through the ice im sure they would hit a lure in openwater in the winter! i dropped an aguavu camera to the bottom! saw a big fish down deep in 20 feet of water here last winter, it was pretty dark down there! thats what im afraid of! how the water clarity is down deep and the fact that the water is in the 40s to upper 30s. do i have to get a bait right in front of the fish in order for it to bite?
  23. bump! i want some info on this! had one sitting around for a while never used it! then when i did use it know how the action was, i lost it!!!!
  24. i got a lot of hudds!!! i havent really fished them in the cold! when water is in the 40s to just above freezing
