  2. no tuna for me. saw a baby friggin wheel jay, it was soooo cool!! saw few whales and dolphins. saw a humpback whale jump clean out of the water, unbelievable. we saw tons of tuna! we had tuna jumping around the boat. but couldnt hook up, no one caught fish! this weekend im going to upstate NY for salmon and trout!
  3. thank you sir! never caught one before! i heard theres a good bite going! CANT WAIT!!! i wont be getting anysleep tonight
  4. IM GOING TUNA FISHING TOMORROW!!!! IM SO EXCITED!!
  5. negative. i was in my yak this was on a shiner on bottom. i did catch another fish in about 10 feet yo-yo-ing a lipless crank. the only time i iced fished this place was a few years ago during a bad winter. slow day but i lost a fish that couldnt fit through the hole. it was a big friggin bass. this was on the northern side of the pond in a flat thats about 7 feet deep near a big blow down. so im thinking in the winter the northern side is better due to the deeper water, which means warmer water. the south side is better during the warmer months due to the structure and deep water adjacent to the shallow water
  6. ive caught bass here on bottom in 30 feet. that was in december a few years ago thanks guys i appreciate the tips and useful info
  7. i dont know much about the offshore structure. theres is plenty of spawning areas for the bass! yea its a kettle hole pond fed by springs. i fish the pond from a yak! i need to bring my fish finder out here
  8. i never wear bug spray. some days i do when they are really bad. i find it depends on the pond. some ponds i cant last 15 min with out it but the ponds i fish mostly at night im fine
  9. i love night fishing! i love the nature i see and the noises i hear, all the frogs, the bugs, the yotes. i love seeing the raccoons. i saw a friggin flying squirrel one night! i had no idea we had them! did you know spiders have green eyes??? catching all the frogs. ive seen white spiders! watching the shooting stars! i get lost in the sweet symphony of nature only to be interrupted by an explosion from a big bass. you get lost in time out there! you think its been 1 hour next thing you know its 3 am and you like **** i gota work tomorrow! but you say few more casts then its 4 am, and your like **** i really need to go!
  10. i fish the whole pond twice or 3 times mostly casting with siwmbaits. but the south side always produces larger fish. for the record my buddy and i went ice fishing there a few years ago. we had a flag and the bass was to big to fit through the hole, we lost the fish. this was on the north side of the pond
  11. ive had great luck with swimbaits up shallow but theres those big bass hanging deep that i cant get!
  12. 30 feet some where in the middle! the pond. last time i saw the drop off drop quick into 15-20 feet deep. theres a nice tree in about 16 feet deep in the south side. also this pond is spring fed theres not inlets or outlets yea its an app on the iphone, its called super photo. you can make any picture look like a painting or animated. tons of cool effects you can do to a picture
  13. yea i fish this pond in a yak. most of my big fish here have come on frogs and swimbaits! cant wait to fish it more. i need to crack the code for the deeper fish!
  14. yea most of the north side and west side is all bogs, just opened land, south and west are woods. no shore access to the productive side there is some but cant fish it good. the best areas you need a boat!
  15. fished 6am-midnight saturday. fished RI went saltwater fishin, tough fishin we caught a few sea bass, short togs and one blue. we hooked into a big striper. at noon we came back in and i went bass fishin! i pounded a pond for a few hours. i lost a tank here a few weeks ago, this is a big pond but the water level is so low the bass are stacked up in one little deep portion. i missed 2 good fish and caught a little 2lbser. continued fish and exploring new ponds. lost another good fish at 8pm on a swimbait. kept driving around looking for new spots! hit a 2 bog ponds. caught one dink on a 9inch bait at around 930 or so. called it quits at midnight. sunday i fished a new pond been wanting to check out. deep deep woods. hiked a mile in. caught a chunky bass just shy of 4lbs on a jig! fished 2 other ponds ive fished many times before. had one big blow up at sundown on a 3ounce jitter bug!
  16. so ive been fishing this pond off and on for years! all my big bass have come from one side of the pond. the pond is 11 acres, 30 feet deep, sharp drop offs, water is clear with a stain to it. i can see about 3 feet or so. the side ive caught my big bass on has a sharp drop off with shoreline pads, brush and logs. its on the south side of the pond thats has a lot of tall trees along shore. the other side of the pond has a mix of open cranberry bogs and wooded areas! this has tall reeds some pads and some nice lookin blow downs. this area is also a little deeper. theres some flats that are in 6 feet of water near shore. the reeds are in about 5 feet deep. this is on the north side. any reason to why i catch my big bass on the south side.
  17. its been a very good year for me!
  18. ill be out there this fall winter and spring chasin them !

  21. i need to catch a pike soo friggin bad!
  22. i fished little south before decent pond, some good fish but can be tough. as far as i know theres largemouth, smallies, pickerel, white and yellow perch and suckers. pike being stocked in there? doubt it but with people these days and bucket biologists anything is possible, same goes for brown trout!
