Glide Bait Rod
Tom, I think that’s what I might have to do. I’ll see if I can put in a call this week. So far the Zillion or Irod are the only two that come close. Thanks.

Glide Bait Rod
I like handles that are 14 or so, the biggest challenge is finding a rod that’s not crazy long. I’m a bank angler so I’m looking for something between 7’-7’6”For length, slinging 1.5oz baits and provides me everything I need.

Glide Bait Rod
Found this 7’4 Zillion Swimbait rod and seems to fit the bill. Thoughts? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-RDCDAIWA.html?from=basres

Glide Bait Rod
My reel is 6:2:1, the Ganterels weigh 1.5oz but that’s about where I want to be. Yes, I’m buying a new rod because aside from the frog rod 7’6” H Cronosn I don’t feel comfortable throwing these baits on a MH. I’ll take a look, however I do not care for cork handles, much prefer foam.

Glide Bait Rod
Hmm yeah 7’8” is pretty long for a bank angler but may not have a choice. Seems to be two approaches to glidebaits, moderate or fast action. The other thing is casting these baits, they aren’t light by any means.

Glide Bait Rod
Sooooo my rod/reel combos exploded this season(bait monkey hit hard). Not sure if I should list all my set-up so they aren’t pulling double duty. However given present circumstances I will not. The reel I’d like to use is the Curado K in 6:2. Mainly will be throwing S-Wavers n Ganterals. 168 n JR size. Yep, I’m in Minnesota so the chance of Pike and Musky is there and that’s why I don’t throw Hudds or other big soft body swimbaits. Would like to keep the rod up 7’6” as I’m a bank angler. Budget? I’m open.

Daiwa and Shimano
I fished a Curado E or G, super smooth and palmed nicely. I hear a lot of people talking about their(Shimano) reels. Specifically Curados n Chronarch E. I guess if it ain’t broke don’t fix doesn’t apply.

Thanks gents!

Thanks guys, I’ll do some looking at my casting motion and see what others are doing.

Daiwa and Shimano
The obvious maybe what I need right now. I do think the spool was overfilled but that’s me. I’ve got the Curado K down. Minor backlashes and she’s throwing swim jigs well.

Daiwa and Shimano
Lately I’ve been fishing with both brands and trying to switch back n forth between reels in the same day. Granted I have more time with daiwa reels, the struggle casting Shimanos is annoying. Typically backlash in the beginning of the cast. Control knob is tightened down to the point of no to little fall, breaks are on because I’ve been fighting wind all weekend. 10-20mph is typical now. Had a Curado 70 and that was a dream to cast, now that I’ve changed reels ie Shimano 15 Alderbaran, curado k and chronarch mgl the struggle is real. Anything to help??

Buying some punching gear
I’m here for the information, but why not use a Tatula SV for punching? Not enough capacity?

Daiwa Super Tuned
I ended up passing on the reel, not sure what I’m going to do. It palms fine in my hand and was smooth all the way around. But I appreciate all the insight on the reel. No need for a heavy duty reel.

Daiwa Super Tuned
It’s this reel or another Tatula SV in 7:3. A lot will depend on how the reel palms in my hand. I’ve fallen in love with the Tatula SV.

Daiwa Super Tuned
I fished a Curado E or D series and loved that reel, it was big green and smooth. So it seems comparable, but I’ll hold judgement till later today. How hard are is the carbontex upgrade? Pricey or moderate?

Daiwa Super Tuned
That was a great review, next question. Is it worth me paying $70 for?? Made in 2004 era, I cannot see the value holding so much. You tell me though.

Daiwa Super Tuned
Well I’m thinking about buying the reel pictured. Owner said he bought in 2014, a friend said it was an alphas. However I’m rather new, 2nd season bass fishing. More finesse reel or could I bomb chatter and spinnerbaits?? The more info y’all could share would be extrmely helpful! I’m a little out of the loop.
