  1. So do I but if you fish WSSR resevoirs they will not allow you to fish anywhere else. Allen
  2. When I lived in Laurel I caught quite a few fish at Rocky Gorge from the bank. Piney Run and Black Hills Lake Seneca are within an hour but I would try the Baltimore area lakes. Liberty holds the state record SM and I here great things about Loch Raven. Here is a list of fishing locations for the state by county. 3. They make other colors besides green pumkin? I have fished in 8 different states across the US and it has worked everywhere. The only place that GP did not work was a small pond on FT Leonard Wood, MO where the Army practiced building floating bridges. Allen
  4. Take some lessons from this guy on running a jetboat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5rWO2qL6WQ Allen
  5. If I had a jetboat I would fish the Susky over the Potomac any day. Having fished both I would say the average Potomac SM is 11" while a Susky one is 17". Allen
  6. My guess is he wants to be the middle man between a Chinese manufacturer and someone looking to start their own business. Allen
  7. I really doubt I will get to fish anymore this year? Work and school are crazy busy again. Allen
  8. They may have moved it but it has been Big Slack everytime I know of, Who is running the tournament? Allen
  9. Yes, there is one the first Saturday in November. I doubt that I will be able to fish it because work and school is kicking my butt right now. Allen
  10. I am not a Government employee so I just had to do my job and theirs for about a week. Allen
  11. Spinnerbait, suspending jerkbait, swim jig until it gets cold then a jig. Allen
  12. This is the best answer you will get. Allen
  13. I use the Columbia Coating brown that I bought on sale for $13 shipped for a pound and it works just as good as Pro-Tek. Allen
  14. It must be nice to be able to get out! I have this nice yard ornament I use to call a boat. Allen
  15. How was the trip? Allen
  16. FT. Frederick is a Maryland State Park. Allen
  17. Have you looked into Rocky Gorge? Allen
  18. I am glad I stocked up on these before everyone let the secret out! LC pointer 78 SR = Shallow runner, it just looks like a 78sp with the bill shaved down some. Jerkbaits are my weakness so I have a lot of them! I won't get into all the different high dollar ones from Japan but will address the common ones. LC pointers and slender pointers are the best cold water jerkbaits I own period. I have a little pointer 65sp that has caught so many fish they have not only worn the paint off the plastic is getting thin. Oh I have to add it is on its 13th set of hooks so it may have to be retired soon. The Megabass are works of art but to me they are just an average lure IMO. Those STX will catch fish but all 5 of the ones I have are no where near the Megabass bait. None of them actually suspend and they all sit differently in the water for some reason. Most nose down to different degrees but one tails down and one sinks straight out of the package. They will catch fish like I said and are worth the price but if you are thinking they are the same as a 110 lower your expectations. Allen
  19. Bill Dance lure retriever with the little reel and a telescopic light bulb changer is what I use. I have only lost 2 lures in the past 3 or 4 years with these. Allen
  20. I heard from a guy who's cousin knows a guy that fished there once so it is good info, the fish are in the water. When are you going I maybe able to go? Allen
  21. They could but I have never been ask for anything besides the license itself. Allen
  22. One of my best crankbaits for bass is actually a walleye lure. I have to agree about jerkbaits in spring everything will hit them. I was fishing a finesse jig on a point during a bass tournament at Deep Creek Lake several years ago. There was a boat about 50 yards from me fishing a walleye tournament. I nailed a nice fish that ended up being a 20"+ walleye, next cast another one just as big or bigger. Meanwhile the walleye guy caught two really nice smallmouth on a firetiger looking spoon. He looked at me and said any more and we would trade lures! Allen
  23. I understand the physics behind it but we are not fishing for tarpon? For me the chances of breaking a guide because of the way I like to have 20 rods on deck is greater than any benefit I get from the system. The same goes with the micro guides, I understand why but for practical fishing they will freeze up a lot quicker in the cold weather and a 6-6 ml spinning rod doesn't weight too much to begin with. With that said I do plan on having a custom DS rod built with micro guides but it would only be used with 6lb floro in the summer. Allen
  24. All the open tournaments are that I know of? Best 5 fish for the boat. Allen
  25. Haters gonna hate! Speedbead has been drinking some hateraide. Seriously, next week when you post "I cannot catch anything in this pond I use to what should I use/etc.?" I will refer you back to this post. We have all been there but effective pond management is not what I witnessed in that pic. Allen
