  1. That was pretty funny Raul. ;D
  2. I really appreciate all the advice guys. I've made a cuple trips to the local pro shop that carries all the hot brands, accessories, and has an indoor range. The guy is honest and definitely not trying to upsell me, and like you all are saying, he also is having me try a few different bows at a time to see what fits.
  3. It was nice knowing you Glenn.
  4. back in the late 90's my sister and I owned a bar. Weekends my folks would help me out, dad would help bartend and mom would help with the cash register. Sometimes I'd end up spending the night at my folks place, since I'd usually pick them up on my way in. This particular night I saw something that still puzzles me. That night we stopped at Denny's for some breakfast before heading home. My folks' home is situated in a ranch community, so there arent too many lights. The stars are as bright as can be. I remember parking, dad walking in and mom and I trailing behind. At that point I remember something catching my eye in the sky. There were no lights, it was flying very low, and the only noise it made was the air it pushed as it flew by. The shape wasnt round, more like a triangle with soft edges. It looked to be the size of a medium jet, Like a Gulfstream IV. Not too big, but at the same time not too small. It was also going quite slow, too slow actually. It passed directly over us, the house, and continued heading west towards the ocean. I remember mom and I just standing there, staring at it, until it wasnt visable anymore. I will never forget how it literally made no noise. And no, I wasnt drinking that night. I never did on nights that I worked at the bar.
  5. Curly's laugh...knuck knuck knuck. ;D
  6. Hoyt Maxxis looks really nice as well. Decisions...
  7. Ok guys, Hoyt Carbon Matrix it is. Now besides the bow, what else do I need? Where can I get the best price?
  8. Imnot sure if crossbows are legal here Speedbead. That Hoyt bow looks intense! The Mathews are nice as well....I figured a full setup would run me less than $2k. Now I have to find a place that carries them to see how they fit. Thanks guys.
  9. I'm looking at getting a bow this year. Primarily for pig. What would you guys recommend? I'm looking for a high end setup. Thanks guys.
  10. Agreed on the TDZ Being an awesome reel. I think it compares more to the Steez than a Zillion to be honest. I was lucky enough to pick up a few when they were on close out for $199 a couple years back. With an upgraded drag and 90mm Bassart carbon handles, these reels are awesome!
  11. Thanks Glenn. And yup. Regardless, this story is too funny!
  12. Take that PETA! ;D http://glossynews.com/society/201001070305/activists-missing-after-declaring-war-on-leather-at-motorcycle-rally/
  13. I held the Ike rods at ICAST year before last. They felt like lead weights. No wonder they didnt sell well. They did look cool however. It makes me wonder if he really had anything to do with their production, or if Daiwa just threw him $$ in return for using his name.
  14. Prayers sent my friend. Stay strong.
  15. RW!! I never thought you'd actually do it!! You've been busted!!!

  18. lots of exotic car owners put few miles on their cars. I never understood that. if you're not going to drive it, then get a poster. Much cheaper. ;D
  19. This is how these cars are meant to be driven.
  20. This was one of my favorite shows as a kid! Will be cool to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mh0bLHnmG4M&feature=player_embedded
  21. With all that water indoors humidity control would be an issue. Also it would have a ridiculous start up cost. Would be very difficult to be profitable.
  22. If you move to CA, its a 5 hour flight. Much better than a 24 hour drive. And the fishing...goes with out saying. You couldnt pick a better time either, considering what real estate prices are at, especially in the valley area like Modesto or Stockton. Weather should be right up your alley as well.
  23. Hard to tell from the pictures but if I had to guess I'd say German Wire Hair Pointer.
