  2. wow. how cool is that?
  3. I have the 8ft Steez rod, it's on another level as far as sensitivity and lightness go.

  5. ;D That would have been a site to see.
  6. I do! Come join the party. ;D
  7. No problem Mike, seems quite a few will mail on Monday so you won't be the only one.
  8. As long as I still have my rods, reels, and tackle, I'll be ok.
  9. Two different animals. The GLX is a faster action than the carrot stix, I would compare it more to Loomis crankbait series.
  10. The new site looks AWESOME. I like most of the guys (and gals) here really appreciate all the hard work you;ve done for us to make the site better, newer, cooler, and easier to navigate. Like anything new, there will always be minor issues to deal with, and dealt with they will be I am sure. Thanks for all that you do for us Glenn and BR team!
  11. I don't necesarily agree with what the Mayans say Mike, I just thought it was interesting what civilizations from the past have to say about the future. In all honesty, I agree with Ronnie's post. I've always been a fan of this sort of stuff, really makes you think what these ancients would have acheived had their learnings and technology continued to develop. Where would we be by now....
  12. It was the biggest floating tackle box I could find megatron.

  14. According to their calendar, the Maya (a very advanced ancient civilization) believed that the world would end on Dec 21, 2012. Of all the dates put forth by prophets and various other advanced cultures for a doomsday, this is one with an authentic almost eerie feel to it. NASA predicts that the Sun will also reverse its own magnetic poles during 2012 as result of reaching the end of the current 11-year sunspot cycle. book Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation into Civilization's End by Lawrence Joseph reviews a number of 2012 predictions made by various sources, and presents arguments for the possible existence of dangerous positive feedback loops involving solar storms, Earth's magnetic field, cosmic rays, hurricanes, global warming, earthquakes, and supervolcanoes that may be on the verge of erupting. what will happen?
  15. I have 2 Chronarch MG's and love them. Don't use them much but they can cast a light lure a country mile.
  16. Bang for the buck, I'd have to say Carrot Stick for the rod and Zillion for the reel. The Zillion is 95% of what the Steez is for $200 less retail.
  17. To me they look like a giant potato bug. AND I HATE THOSE TOO!
  18. Yup. Unfortunately that is simply a charachteristic of Shimano. Even their high end Core shows some back play. THey need to improve that part of their reel!
  19. Yup, he's posting in other places I frequent as well. I'll pm him and let him know he's missed here.
  20. You got me LBH. ;D I think I've pretty much made up my mind on the Sage. My only question is what length, as they come in 9ft and 10 ft I believe? What does the extra foot in length really do? Considering the flies I will be using, I'm looking at the 9wt and the 10wt.
  21. Tomorrow is the LAST day to ship your gift! Please make sure to do so everyone! Thanks!!
  22. I think you mean camel spider. Add it to my list. :-?
  23. Thanks guys, I value your opinion. I wonder if I Santa may be getting me one.... :
  24. and have come to the conclusion that I may have to get one. I'm feeling the Sage TCR 9wt with an Abel Super 8 or Super 9, in the artistic finish #4 to match my abel pliers/knife combo. Any other guys here fly fish for stripers or bass?
