Ish is a very nice guy. Meeting him last week I can tell you all the stories are true. Very approachable, and very down to earth.

Since you will probably end up buying a couple rods, one for light lures and one for heavier lures, check out the E21 Carrot Stick. It weighs nothing and you will not be dissapointed. For $150, It's a steal.

I'm going to try realy hard not to buy any more tackle. I have more than what I need, but when a new rod or reel comes out that is lighter than what I already own then I will look into it. Evergreen rods by the way, are my new favorite, over Steez.

These do work great, I have a pair and no longer rip my finger nails in half trying to get the split ring open.

I dont get the whole black friday thing. 11:30 at night last night and the outlet stores on the way back to my nnome were BOILING with people. Now if the tackle shops had a black friday event..... ;D

When Low Budget Hookers came to CA to visit, I tied a hook to this back and threw him into the Delta. I didn't catch any fish? :-?

The Carrot Stick was the hands down favorite rod of my guide, Ze Bodo. This guy knows a thing or two about rods..... I haven't posted anything else because there really isnt anything else to post about it? Regardless, I think it's a fantastic rod at any price point and I repeat, many thought that "carbon fiber" was a gimmick when it first came out as well. It isnt the same rod as the one at ICAST, in my opinion they made some great improvements on it. The foam handles are awesome and I am leaning towards those types of rods due to the non slip of the foam.
