  1. We are passed the drain and headed down the sewer as a society with this sort of stuff. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/erin-r-brown/2011/05/25/california-teache-tells-kindergarteners-more-two-genders#ixzz1NOWRIzsL
  2. You can not go wring with Brazil and chasing peacocks. It's a surreal trip, especially the first time. You almost can't believe you're there. Next up fo rme I think is Argentina and golden dorado. I'd also like to go to Suriname for wolf fish.
  3. check out that classic ranger!
  4. No pike in California. Lake X is a private bass lake, full of monster bass.
  5. Took dad today to Lake X, after putting the boat on the trailer I walked a portion of the shore and found this dead behemoth. My shoe is a size 12, and barely stretches past the gill plate! You can see that over half of the fish is completely missing. I'm curious to hear what you guys think the size of this fish was.
  6. Having a 'gun room' is no different than having an exotic. Do you need all those guns? Do your friends oooh and aaah over them when they come visit? Are you capable of using them to their full abilities? Has nothing to do with "Flaunt it if you got it".
  7. Not everything has to be an investment. You don't own an exotic to make money. You own an exotic to burn it.
  8. No dogpiling. I can appreciate a nice corvette just like the next guy. It's just not my cup of tea. If I was to buy an american exotic, my money would go to a Ford GT in dark grey.
  9. Grigio Avlon is the lighter metallic silver.
  10. Interesting how that works. Having been fortunate enough to own Porsches and Lamborghinis, I can tell you that now as an older guy I wouldn't buy either one. I find my eye wandering more towards say an Aston Martin DBS or the Ferrari 599 GTB. Both cars are sexy as hell (to me) yet are not as ostentatious as the Murcielago or Porsche. Lately my car itch is starting up again. I may need to scratch it....
  11. Always been a fan. I have a 10/22 with Vulquartsen everything and it's a tack driver. Built back in the early 90's and still fires like a champ.
  12. That would be Grigio Antares.
  13. It's growing on me. Curious to see what the updates will be after a couple years in production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8VIwXcQ1pU&feature=player_embedded
  14. I have an under counter Architect Series Icemaker from KitchenAid in my home bar. It makes perfect, clear, small cube ice for drinks.
  15. I'm interested in this as well.
  16. Hauling my boat cross country is not on my bucket list. I'd rather fly in, hire a guide and fish for a day or two, then head to the Delano or Shore Club for a few nights.

  18. Okeechobee is on my short list as well. It's probably very similar to the Delta, minus the tide factor.
  19. Update. With all the killings happening in Mexico, and the epicenter being Mazatlan, I've decided to postpone this trip. Part of the trip involves a bus ride from Mazatlan to the Lodge, 2 hours inland. Lots can happen in that 2 hour time span, and if they know that it's a bus full of tourists, well, let's just say that is not a chance I am willing to take. It's really too bad this is happening right now. However it's just way too risky at this point to go.
  20. Awesome. The Delta has been fishing well also. I'm headed out later this week.
  21. First off, Happy Anniversary! Those prawns look fantastic. Also, you gotta love a steak that comes with a built in handle. Bone in NY are my favorite. I'll have to try that place out on my next trip to FL.
  22. Ahh....the moped analogy. Fun to ride, til your friends spot you.
