  1. Hard to pick one. Megabass TD Ito 103M, modded with upgraded drag and bearings, and a carbon 90mm handle. Calcutta 100DC. Also modded with upgraded drag, bearings, and carbon handle.
  2. Enjoy the victory....49ers will crush all!!
  3. First of all, congratulations on your acheivement! It's a great feeling. What's your budget? I think that would be the starting point. There's lots of boats for sale over at BBS, also with the state of the economy unfortunately there's probably lots of people looking to sell their boats so you could get a pretty good deal on a used boat.
  4. ok, after watching the video, I'd hardly call that a melt down. He broke a rod after losing the tourney with a 10 lb lead. If I lost after that much of a lead, I'd be upset too. I agree with the fact that h'e an emotional fisherman. Don't see anything wrong with it really.
  5. I'm on my 2nd Ranger. Both ordered new from a dealer. They are amazing boats, I have no complaints. I really do like the looks of the Sterling though. I'm just wondering if the beauty is only skin deep. Been there before, won't do that again. I may just hang on to my boat for a few more seasons. It's still pretty much new and does everything I ask it to. We'll see what happens.
  6. So I'm contemplating selling the Z22 and getting either a Sterling or a Z522. Anyone here have any seat time in a Sterling that can chime in? They look awesome, but there are no dealers in CA yet. I spoke to someone at the factory in FL and they told me the closest dealer was in AZ. Still kind of far to take a look at one. Consider also that I LOVE my Z22, it's a great boat and I am in no hurry to get rid of it at the moment, just sort of testing the waters here. Thoughts?
  7. Crabs...hahahahhaa caimen in the Amazon, piranhas are always fun too.
  8. For 2011 I didn't get to fish much, thankfully due to the fact that work ROCKED. I expect more of the same for 2012, however I also expect to go back to Brazil and make my first bass fishing trip to..........CUBA! Here's to all of you reaching your goals for 2012!
  9. I pay 3 years at a time, makes things a whole lot easier and they cut me a deal.
  10. lol. They don't like losing clients I guess. Try a smaller local gym. That's the kind of place I go to. Plus I prefer to deal with local small business owners.
  11. Happy Birthday old man.
  12. Aged New Yorks, garlic mashed potatos and few bottles of Silver Oak and Caymus.
  13. Quite possibly, the funniest story on BR I've ever read. And for the record, I hate cats too.
  14. You laughed.
  15. For whatever reason my dvr did not record the final show. I'd like to see it!
  16. Glue factory.
  17. Deaknh03, Understood completely. However there's no mistaken ID case here. We know its not you and the only reason I'm posting this is to make sure no one from this site gets jipped. I'm sure Glenn will handle it as he sees fit and that will be that.
  18. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't post anything like this. The fact that he went as far as sending me pictures of the rod he knew for a fact he did not have is just plain wrong. He knew what he was doing and his intent was to rip someone off.
  19. I don't know if he's a member on this board, but if you are Dean, the jig is up. Dean tried selling me a Megabass rod for a price that seemed to good to be true. Turned out I should have followed my intuition. He went as far as sending me pictures of the rod, and once I sent him the funds he dissapeared on me. Wouldn't return my emails or pm's. I was lucky enough to have a friend that was able to track down all of his personal information, including his cell phone. To his surprise when I called him and he answered, he still tried to tell me that 'his computer wasn't working' and that he'd ship the rod that afternoon. Of course I never received back a tracking number, nor a rod.... After a few more phone calls and a claim filed with Paypal, I was able to get my money back. I know I was lucky. Do not do business with this kid!
  20. ...To a new spot, with lots more danger, had to dump the Nitro and hop in my Ranger.....
  21. Thank you Siebert! I now have some awesome jigs that will catch some California pigs!
  22. You did say hard core.... My absolute favorite topwater rod is my Steez FlexLite 7'2" paired with a Steez 100HA and 55 lb Samurai braid. I can zing that lure a country mile, and the parabolic action of the rod is ideal for walkin' the dog.
  23. Awesome. Something to look forward to on my next Ranger.
  24. Sounds like we've all dealt with this. A couple years back I picked up a business Amex card. within 2 weeks I received a bill for over $10k. Flights were charged from European countries, jumping from one place to another. I assume the thieves are able to cash those in after making the purchase. Took a couple days and they were taken off the card. I never used the card after that.
