Well remember a Z22 is big and heavy. With the 300 it performs fairly well. No speed demon and that's ok with me. Come to think about it, when I had my Lamborghini I wasn't much of a speed demon in that either.

Last year I watched the game at a local pub with the boys. This year, I hope to watch a couple of them play at Super Bowl. Live.

I buy rods, reels, and lures from a couple jdm shops. Never had an issue. You should be ok, just be warned, it porbably wont be the last item you buy from Japan.

I see many of you have drank the Alabama kool-aid. :-) I bought one. Looks ridiculous. Feel ridiculous casting it. Unless you're using a heavy swimbait rod, don't bother... I'm sure it catches fish. Its just no fun to cast. Weighes a ton and is about as aerodynamic as a brick.

Not looking for a speedboat. Looking for a big high end bass boat that looks good and pushes my buttons. Ranger does that, perhaps the Sterling will also. I'm sure the opportunity will come up to try one out. Looking forward to it.

I'm basing my comments merely on looks right now boys. I've yet to ride in or even look at a Sterling in person for that matter. Don't get me wrong, I love my Z22. I just don't see myself keeping it more than 2 more seasons or so. It'll be nice to see what both manufacturers do in the coming years. My '07 Z22 is leaps and bounds ahead of the 2000 520 DVX I had as my first new bass boat.
