Go Niners!

Recommended Posts

Last year I watched the game at a local pub with the boys. This year, I hope to watch a couple of them play at Super Bowl. Live. :)

Robert, that was a very entertaining game.

I was for the Saints but the 49ers played a great final minute to pull out the win.

Should be fun to see the 49ers and the Packers next week!!!!

Absolutely fantastic game. That's what playoff football is supposed to be like. Heck of a win for the Niners.

The Niners are the truth. Vernon Davis is a freak. Alex Smith is finally doing his thing and when he ran in that TD, I had no clue he was that fast. Great game.

That was one of the best play calls I've seen in a long time. It was executed just perfect.

That was a huge team win. They made big plays on D, special teams and offense.

I'm an avid Saints fan, but the Niners flat beat them, hands down. That TD by Smith at the end was awesome to watch. I guess I'll go cry in my beer and hope for next year.

Man, that game is what the NFL is all about. I didn't really have a dog in the fight,

but I sure enjoyed watching both teams playing their hearts out. Congratulations

to all 49ers fans!

Agreed. The Giants are looking really tough. I fully expect the Packers to win but hey I fully expected the Saints to win as well. That's why I love football. Any given Sunday.

I didn't.....people are under estimating the 49'ers. I knew it was going to be a close game. However I don't mind them beating the packers if it came down to that....I hope not though.

I used to love watching Joe Montana and Steve young play when the 49'ers were hot back in the day. So it's a long time coming for 49'ers.

If I can muster the strength to watch the game, I'll be cheering for the Niners.

Congrats to the NY football Giants. Green Bay totally self-destructed today; I hope the stink of shame follows them the entire off-season.

One of the coach's lost his son....The entire Green bay orgainzation's head wasn't in today's game...it showed.

49'ers are gonna muder Eli manning's offense....49'ers has a very tough defense line.

I was looking forward to a packer- 49'er show down...but now that's not gonna happen. :(

49ers vs the Giants should be a good game.

I would think the Pats will defeat the Ravens.

Pats vs 49ers or Giants? Do we need a poll????

Green Bay was a flat as they could be, whether it had anything to do with the death of Philbin's son, I don't know........but he is interviewing with Kansas City and Miami.

49's and Saints was as good a game as I've seen in a very long time. In the end I like San Fran and N.E, I never bet against Brady.

The Packers' loss was inevitable people, they have the worst defense in the league. You'd be crazy or high on the 15-1 kool-aid if you thought they were going to repeat.

If the Giants can keep up the same level of play against a VERY tough and well coached San Fran, I forsee a NY vs. NE rematch...... and Eli punks Tommy Boy again.

I cant see anybody being able to match the Patriots on the scoreboard. The Ravens D may slow them down a little bit but the Patriots will still get in the end zone enough to beat them. Although I really want Flacco to be 'that guy' , right now I still see him as the weak link in Baltimore.

Technially you are wrong....dead wrong.....Packers lost that game because of dropped balls and fumbles which didn't happen most of the season. A lot of stuff affected them from playing well....and remember...they beat giants twice in the regular season by more than 20+ points.

I had Eli Manning as my fansty draft back up quaterback and let me tell you...he was shaky as heck....One week hot and a fluke(sucked so badly) the next week.49'ers defense us gonna run him over like a train.

LOL. Dead wrong about what?

The Packers only played the Giants once this reg season. Week 13. They got all they could handle and won in the final seconds, 38-35. No twenty point blowout. You're obviously confused.

There were some dropped balls, but a few of them were due to bad/forced passes by an under pressure Rodgers (who was sacked 4 time and flushed from the pocket more times than I could count). All of those fumbles were punched out or stripped. The G-men were teeing off on the ball night.

The Pack defense was last in the league in yardage. Their secondary has been weak all season. Nothing to prop up if their offense should it falter, which was bound to happen.

And I couldn't care any less about fantasy stats. Eli is clutch.

Face it, the Pack got dominated. It wouldn't have even been as close as it was if it wasn't for some AWFUL calls.
