Do You Spank Your Kid(S)?
I don't have kids by choice. If I had, I'd spank them if they got out of line. What I hated as a kid was the dreaded ear pull from my mom. I think one of my ears is actually longer than the other.

Ahhh...the Joys Of Living In The Country.
There's a few of those. Several magnums from Silver Oak, Pahlmeyer and Ovid, some 3 Liter bottles from Silver Oak and Pahlmeyer, a couple 6 Liter bottles from Silver Oak and a chardonney I can't remember, and the big daddy of them all, a 12 Liter from Silver Oak. That's the beast sitting on the edge of the bar.

Thanks guys. The house is old school so I went for the old saloon look with the bar. I think it came out pretty nice. On the left in front of Chief SlapAHoe is a real deal spitoon from the old west. I love that thing.

Well the bar is complete. And stocked. It took me the better part of 6 hours to get all the bottles in place. I will post some pictures week.

Tell you what. If Glenn ever has a RoadTrip here in California, I will host a BBQ for all at Green Acres. Of course, we will end up at my favorite dive bar here in town and if someone doesn't end up getting thrown out, I will be dissapointed.

lol. I just watched that intro to Green Acres. That perfectly describes me and the missus. OO Mod, come visit anytime. Bring some bottles with ya'. K Mac your community sounds a little like mine. Only instead of a church there's a Mission...and the bar, well, I'll do my best not to get thrown out of there.

Ahhh...the Joys Of Living In The Country.
So we've spent our first few nights at the new place. Of course the remodel isn't complete, but luckily it's contained to the 2nd kitchen and bar room. Today, I found out I can't run the pump that feeds the pond during the day or else I'll drain down the holding tank too much. I can only run it at night. Result? Not enough water to run the pump so we have no water until tomorrow. Regardless, I love this place. It's beyond private, I have one neighbor who's Mormon and gone 8 months out of the year and did I mention the stocked bass pond? I may never leave home again.

Looking For Old Leather Bound Books.
Hey guys, I considered a for sale thread but since I'm not selling anything I figured this would be a good spot. I'm building a library at the new place and am looking for old leather bound books of all sorts. I'm leaning towards books on politics or classic novels, but I'll consider just about anything that is interesting. If you or perhaps a family member has some that they'd be willing to sell for a fair price I'd be interested. If your parents or grandparents have a collection they'd like to sell complete I'd be interested in that as well. Again I'm not looking to resell, I'm looking to keep everything I buy. At this point I have room for another 1000 books or so, so please keep that in mind. Feel free to send me a pm with details of what you have. If this thread needs to be moved please feel free to do so Glenn. Thanks!

Skinny/narrow Tie
This thread has made me realize one thing. I'm grateful for the fact that I will never have to interview for a job again.

Bourbon Anyone?
I don't drink bourbon too much, but Pappy Van Winkle is usually what I stock in my home bar. 20 and the 23 year, however I prefer the 20. Recently I tried Hirsch 28 year old at a high end steak joint, and was also impressed by that. I have 2 bottles on the way.

Skinny/narrow Tie
First off, where are you interviewing? If it's a conservative company I'd stick to a conservative suit/tie combo. I can't stress this enough though, regardless if you're wearing a $200 suit or a $2000 suit, Make sure it fits! Back when my company was larger if there was one thing that would annoy me was someone in a suit that didnt fit right. sleeves too long, pants too long, you get the picture. Go to a tailor and spend $50 to get it to fit right. It will make you look much more put together.
