  1. Youtube is your friend
  2. Well everything I was gonna say has already been covered
  3. What are the weather conditions? What's the water clarity/temperature? Are the bass actively feeding, if they are then on what? These are some questions you should ask youreself when bass fishing. Once you have those answered the right lure should be picked accordingy with color based on natural forage and water clarity. The right lure can make all the difference in the world, you most likely won't catch a bass on a spook in the afternoon on a sunny, clear day and that goes for everything. My 0.001 cents
  4. The Dummies Guide to T-Rig Fishing . Great video though, covered pretty much everything there is to know when starting out fishing plus a few extra. Thanks for the content
  5. Welcome
  6. So it went from a great bass fishery to a total disaster because someone had nothing better to do in life than ruin it?
  7. check out the local fishing forum, there are people in your area that can tell you exactly what you need I would suggest a wacky or t rigged senko on a medium spinning setup. My thinking is if you really want to get into bass fishing a spinning setup would be a better buy over a spincast. Slightly harder to learn but alot more versatile in the long run My 0.00000000001 cents
  8. I'm pretty much in the same situation, started fishing on my own and slowly picked up things from there . Thankfully there are resources like youtube and bassresource.com that have helped me tremendously in learning about bass fishing
  9. Thanks for the heads up
  10. Well this is what happens when you re-surface an 11 year old thread Bait monkey got me with a reel today, I don't think $45 is that bad
  11. New something wasn't right, current world record is 22lb. The fish gets bigger by 0.5 lb every time you tell it right?
  12. Might get some, my spinnerbait selection consists of one 1/2 ounce booyah spinner
  13. Have fun
  14. Well, this is AN EXTREMELY OLD THREAD but its hard feeding the bait monkey when you're 14 and don't have a job yet
  15. What was the casting distance with that? I can imagine it was terrible
  16. Speaking of weather, most summer days here Florida are like this, 90-95 degrees, like 60% humidity, pretty much no wind in the afternoon, and a chance of rain pretty much every day. Fishing is something we do early morning and late evening unless you want sweat about 3 gallons. Wind shouldn't be a usual issue
  17. No backlashes that bad, but i managed to hit a tree twice in 10 minutes of bank fishing. Long story short half of that trip was spent picking out birds nets as I only had one pole.
  18. Google Earth is a pretty good resource
  19. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Tourney-Special-Casting-Rod/product/2241080/ currently $10 off
  20. Would flipping a t-rigged craw or worm work as well?
  21. I'm 14 so I'm probably not gonna be on the water by myself. So basically should have baits to fish the whole water column along weed and grass edges? Also if you're flipping edges what section of the water column are you covering. This is all gonna be new so I'm just trying to learn all I can
  22. I actually forgot to add that I'd done some saltwater fishing with my dad before, bass fishing was something I discovered on my own
