  1. At least you had friends that fished, I fish pretty much by myself.
  2. I know what you mean, you pull out all the big loops and then there's just as many smaller ones that have to be pulled out
  3. That's one nasty backlash. How did you manage to backlash so deep? it looks like its at least half of your line
  4. Cast into any pond in Orlando and chances are youll catch a bass, I've done it. Some golf course ponds hold GREAT fish
  5. Who wouldn't want to live to catch Florida Largies?
  6. There are probably a countless amount of incidents/accidents that would have ended differently had people worn PDFs. They just don't see beyond the "cool" factor. If a boating accident happens and you're injured, it doesn't matter how strong of a swimmer you are, without a PFD you probably will drown. Even a capsized canoe can go south.
  7. Im the same way. I have absolutely no idea what I would do if I didn't fish
  8. I just reread this and realized how INSANELY RIDICULOUS THIS IS. Like come on, who pumps gas into a rod locker. Alcohol was probably a major factor here
  9. I agreee, a life jacket takes literally 30 seconds to put on and saves lives. People just don't realize that until it's too late
  10. Well I guess that makes sense, coverage matters. A lot more than last year, I saw way less reports.
  11. I've noticed that there's been ALOT more boating accidents/ fishing accidents this year. If it's not a boating accident then it's someone injured while fishing and more http://www.***/outdoors/***/story/1778635-3-injured-1-dead-in-norman-boat-wreck http://www.***/outdoors/***/story/1773778-two-anglers-killed-in-boat-collision http://www.***/outdoors/***/story/1774118-two-fishermen-dead-in-pickwick-dam-accident http://www.***/outdoors/***/story/1772548-bass-boat-accident-at-costa-flw-series http://www.***/outdoors/***/story/1754491-two-dead-one-missing-in-ice-fishing-accidenthttp://www.***/outdoors/***/story/1782820-gas-pumped-into-wrong-place-boat-explodes these are just a few
  12. Ive honestly never jerked a jerkbait. 90% of my fish have somehow been caught on Texas rigs. I really need to try fishing some other lures
  13. I'll stick to my Palomars, my $120 can be well spent elsewhere. Unless you're missing a finger or have bad eyesight, this is just another gimmick IMO
  14. Velcom, velcom. zis iz z plase to be. (excuse my horrible spelling)
  15. Option B is simply to walk into BPS or Acadmey and see what they have in my price range
  16. Seems like that's what I need. I'll probably be fishing single hook lures and jigs more than cranks either way. There's just SO MANY options for a MH fast rod. I'm honestly looking to spend around $50-60 unless I can find something mores expensive on sale
  17. welcome aboard @zackegg
  18. So it's basically a compromise, I don't want to buy 2 MH setups rn, down the line maybe. One more question, fast action will or will not work for craanks, spinners, etc?
  19. Nice catch, PBs are ALWAYS nice I catch 4 pounders behind my house, (what can I do, I live in Florida afterall)
  20. Can I fish a jig on M power rod? I fish t rigs on it no problem and 3/8 ounce jig is pretty much the same weight. I could get the rod I was talking about, for cranks, spinners, buzzbaits, and smaller swimbaits.
  21. So I'll be getting better rod load up but what will I be sacrificing, sensitivity?
