  1. a wiggle wart is a must for smallmouth anglers-
  2. about time- now a 5:1??? I'm hard to please... :-/
  3. tube wiggle wart If I only had those two baits I'd be content, although a lipless crank bait is up there as well.
  4. don't matta not my part of the country would love to fish there someday though. I think the "wood plank" guy looks like Joe Gibbs lol
  5. no live well I'd say he dosen't release, plus he nails them to a wood plank????
  6. I refuse to pay retail for rods/reels-
  7. That being said I find myself buying up used green curado's because I like them so much. My favorite combo to fish with is a daiwa L/T crankin rod with a Curado 201B5, about $250.00
  8. daiwa fuego 2000 spinning on a loomis GLX DSR820s about $600.00
  9. I agree with you it definately has a cultiva look to it- "eyes" especially
  10. looks like a $1,000.00 to me...
  11. cool- yeah I am a very aggressive reaction bait bass fisherman ;D- I think slowing me down with a lower gear may be to my benefit at times. I will pick up the jig and in very desperate measures the spinning gear :'(
  12. So what gear ratio are you guys using for traps- I am using a 7:1 but at times think I'd be better off with a 6.2:1 or in that naborhood.
  13. I am looking for preferably 5:1 gears for my curado 201B older green style- anybody have any or can lead me to a source? Thanx in advance
  14. I own 20 reels and tournament bass fish I am also a "Rain man freak, judge wapner, buy my under wear at kmart" kind of guy about fresh fishing line I re-line A LOT- the cheap berkly black plastic line station has never failed me used for over 5yrs now. I know a lot of guys my dad included put way too much tension on the line spool- this causes friction problems plus peel all decal material away from shaft area on the spool not doing so will make the spool grab the tension adjusters and create extra friction. For spinning reels make sure line comes off the fresh spool on the under side- this will fix the line twist problems. Spending 300 bucks on a line spooler is just crazy to me- but to each their own. ;D
  15. their jerkbaits are second to none- plus if you are smart about it the chances of losing that jerkbait are slim
  16. Personal preference issue here as always- I like the length for longer casts
  17. x2 but Daiwa fuego 2000 reel
  18. megaforce is definately in the house- $59 feels like so much more-
  19. Ha Ha I agree unless its a 100(1)D- I am a lefty and outta luck as citca doen't have a lefty 101D only righty 100D, I really like my curado 101D. The 200's in citca and curado feel rather large-
  20. I would have got a daiwa megaforce or exceler- I own 3 megaforces and really like them you can't beat them for the price I like them better than some of my higher end reels.
  21. you will greatly reduce your casting distance by underfilling your baitcaster-
  22. that transition red is by far the worst peice of $%it I have used to date!!!
