Kistler + chronarch 50mg
I had problems with the reel seat when I put my 50mg on the kistler MG 6'-9". I put white thread tape on the reel area that matches the rod seat. Worked ok but I liked that reel even better on my loomis mbr783c. The kistler mg rod is very light but the guides are very so so and the seat was a pain. If you are spending that kind of $ there are better rods out there- as mentioned before the reel is top shelf.

Problem With Zoom Horny Toad
I like fishing those on a carolina rig in open water-

what do you think about this rig
x2- that thing is gunna tangle in a major way.

Lucky Craft Flat CB opinions
I like the muscle 10+ and 15+ as well as the LC Flat CB 12 and 20, those cover my deep cranks- I have a couple colors in each of them. I chuck and wind til the fish tell me what they want- They are generally big fish "kicker" baits for me. If I don't have a big limit I will find deep rocky points and use these baits-

Most Over Rated Lure(s)
pretty much anything yamamoto besides the senko (my all time favorite soft bait)- the ika, kreature, hula grub, swimming senko- I think are overated for the price, therea re better options in each of those lure classes except for the original senko IMO.

7' Carrot Stix Spinning & Reel Choice
there is nothing wrong with P-Line just choose the right stuff- the CXX as mentioned is not designed for spinning outfits as it is VERY stiff and loaded with memory- the CX is good but my 1st choice for (a single line outfit) would be the P-Line flouroclear Co-polymer that stuff is very cast friendly- take it a step further and use an 8lb braid tie a 2 rod length leader of 8lb or less flourocarbon and bingo you got an amazing casting rig with the stealthy qualities of a flourocarbon line- I have used this all year and wow what a great set-up- I have won tournaments and I will never go back to just a flouro or mono main line- the braid is so awesome it is super sensitive and line twist is no issue!!!!!- I fish super clear waters too- make sure your two rod length leader is joined with an albright knot- the best knot for joining two different diameter lines- do yourself a favor and give this a try, I don't think you will be dissapointed I know I wasn't.

When do plastics in 'non-traditional' colors work best?
spawning fish on beds will hit anything that is a threat to the eggs or frye- this includes all colors, some guys think the brighter colors are better for this like pink(bubble gum) ect.
-
What colors of jigs should I be buying??
green pumpkin thats it

Matching the Hatch: not so important with LMB
With clear water I think matching the hatch is beneficial- if they hit everything in the water it just as well look like what they usually eat- it will only increase your catch rate.

Zoom Swamp Crawler Worm
Anyone use this bait- if so how and do you like it.

Which jerkbait do you think is the best
LC Staysee

Roy Willaims in Big D
Roy Williams is a true ace and an asset on any team- He will free up T.O. and vice versa, great move on both Dallas and Detroit. The lions need to clean house and start over the Matt Millan cancer was spread to far they will have a great opportunity to use the draft picks like dallas did back in the day when they traded away Hershal Walker. It all makes sense to me.

Drop Shot
I like tear drop shaped weights unless it is REALY rocky and snagy then I go with the long skinny ones by mojo. The tear drops dont move as easy and keeps the bait in place better- the the mojo style pick up to easy and move to much.

Largemouth are the best fighters!!!!!!
2.5LB smallie oz per oz is the UFC fighter of bass

Add larger split rings to lipless cranks?
I can see the idea of adding an extra split ring for less leverage on the fish but man would that be a hook tangling son of a gun
-
Shackey Head or Drop Shot
I never leave home without at least two rods having each tied on. Totally schooled a dude in a tournament using DS, he was anti-drop shot for whatever reason sticking with a shakey head, probably a macho thing which is rediculous- they are both great I can't choose one over the other so BOTH sometimes the fish choose one over the other in a matter of hours! These tactics are right up there with my favorite ways to catch fish!!!!!!!! It's not 'OR' its 'AND' lol this thread makes me want to go fishing!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhh help me im sick

Braid on a spinning line??????
heck yeah it works really well- I like using 6-12lb braid due to its super small diameter and then tie it to a flourocarbon leader- great for finesse fishing for increased sensitivity and zero line twist that haunts spinning reels so often.

What are the Southern States?
Correction, North and central Florida are deep south. South Florida is neither north or south. It is part of Cuba. Ha Ha I agree, so true
-
science fair
I agree with some of the others, don't just blow something up in the name of science- relate your project to something you are interested in (fishing as mentioned possibly), I actually *** you for having that opportunity sounds like fun and I miss those years of my life- do something you can look back on and say, "hey I tried my best and look at what I accomplished."
