Sitting and waiting. NOT!
Casting and waiting is how I fish 99% of the time. Drop shotting, dead sticking Senko's, Live bait on a slip bobber are some of my favorite forms of fishing. Finesse fishing for life!!

Planet X
What I mean is if we have colonized Mars and an asteroid is on a collision course with Earth we can evacuate to Mars. It works in reverse as well (We can escape from Mars to Earth). The idea is to spread out so we are not trapped on Earth if it is doomed.

That Was One Fine Rod
Same here. Mine is still going strong. Only problem I had is a hook hole in the cork handle. I repaired it myself with some cork shavings and wood glue.

Dropshotting my way
I found the part about braid interesting as well. I fight line twist by using VMC spinshot hooks. I don't think they were around in 2009 when this thread was created.

Planet X
I have heard of Planet X at first I thought it was something from an old Godzilla movie I saw as a kid. The truth is it's not a matter of if something collides with Earth it's a matter of when. Hopefully it will be after we have developed the means to travel to other worlds and colonize them so all of the human race is not on one planet. This is the reason it is so important to continue research into space travel. Getting to Mars and making it habitable should be one of our top priorities.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water... If Bass grew any bigger I would stop swimming in lakes.

Coffee addict-any ideas for brewing on the water
Black with two packets of artificial sweetener (Truvia or equal) for me please. Coffeemate powdered creamer if I am in the mood. Milk and I do not get along.

Coffee addict-any ideas for brewing on the water
Any stainless steel vacuum sealed container will keep coffee hot for hours. I have a Yeti 20oz and 30oz, a 27oz Orca Cooler tumbler and a 40oz Hydroflask bottle any of them will allow me to have my coffee while on the water.

scent
I have a can of that Strike King Coffee Scent Attractant laying around. I only use it on soft plastics that have no salt or scent already infused. Since I rarely finesse fish with baits that don't have salt or scent infused it has been unused.

Blizzard!
I hear the thaw is coming fast for you guys. 70+ degrees in the Carolinas later this week.

Squirrels Anyone?
Hunting no, but I have become quite good at trapping Squirrels and Chipmunks. Squirrels love trying to get in my attic and Chipmunks love burrowing into my sprinkler system box and causing havoc. I tried making some homemade traps and after a few trips to the drawing board I found one that works. Every time I feel sorry for the critters I think of the money they have caused me.

Star Wars Movie Followers Question
I won't ruin it either but I will give you a clue...The first character to speak in the first star wars movie has been in every star wars movie (even Rogue One)

Blizzard!
No snow here in the capital region of NY right now. Sure is windy though, 17 mph with 40 mph plus gusts. Makes the mid-twenty degree weather feel like sub-zero.

Just venting
My heart goes out to you. I can't imagine what you are going through. It is Ok to be sad as this is an incredible loss. Just remember when you are really down that your parents would not want you to be miserable. They would want you to be happy and live your life to the fullest.

Star Wars Rogue One - Anybody See It?
Sure they are the same person like Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person. I want a movie about Batman not Bruce Wayne. To highlight what you said and adding in what I want: "The first three movies (chronologically not as they were released) deal with the transformation of Anakin into Darth Vader. (Between the first 3 and the last 3,I want a movie in this Chronological spot, after transformation, full on villain, no redemption in sight Vader) The last three deal with Vader's redemption."

Star Wars Rogue One - Anybody See It?
The geek in me feels compelled to respond to this. Technically the first 3 movies are about Anakin Skywalker. He doesn't become full on villain Vader until the final moments of the third movie. The next three movies are about Luke, Leia and Han with Vader as the villain and not specifically about him. Like T-Rick, I would like to see a film about Vader between the 3rd and 4th movie (before Rogue One) That is the time frame where he was at the height of his dark side power.

VMC weedless wacky hooks
This describes me. I am a fan of VMC products just not this one. I will give them another shot and use your advice on the guard and hooksets. Thanks for the info.

Adios Rex Ryan
As a Jet fan I don't want him back. Rex is a blowhard, all talk and no action. Players love him because he acts like one of them. He is the coach and leading by his example has produced the undisciplined, back stabbing, talking without thinking, get the money but not produce, mess this team is today. I feel sorry for Todd Bowles as he has not been able to, nor appears to be able to get this team on track. Woody Johnson the owner has made some terrible choices with coaches and GM's. He is the main problem if you ask me.

Star Wars Rogue One - Anybody See It?
I saw it with my son this week. I really liked it. As others have said the third act is worth the price of admission alone. Seeing Darth Vader at the height of his power as a Sith lord was breathtaking. This was the Vader I remember, not the NNNNNOooooooooo!! Vader I came to loathe. My only gripe is I am still coming to grips with the CGI characters and the thought of resurrecting deceased actors that way. I really don't know how I feel about it. I am torn as I really like Peter Cushing from his old Hammer movies and Doctor Who vs the Daleks. Seeing him again in this way was thrilling but a little eerie and I feel a bit disrespectful. I did read that his family gave permission to use his likeness but I am still torn.

Fluke vs Caffeine Shad
Caffeine shad. Just because of the smell. I love it.

Pocket knife question
Thanks for the link. I recently lost my EDC Spyderco Ladybug and was in the market for a new knife for my keychain. I was going to go with the Spyderco Clipitool with the bottle opener but decided against it because of the non-locking slipjoint mechanism it uses. I went with the Kershaw Cinder which is just the right size, has a bottle opener and a liner lock. Its my first Kershaw. I have heard good things about them on these forums.

Mojo Bass Rod & Shimano Nasci
This is good food for thought. Before reading your post I would have said the 2500 for sure as I like to pair drop shot reels with Med. Light rods. I do like the higher gear ratio for the no additional weight of the 3000. Line wasn't an issue as both hold a decent amount of 8lb mono which is what I like to dropshot with.
