  1. Thanks guys I might have to try it
  2. Go with the Powell, I have both types of rods and love the Powell! Kistler is a nice rod but if you break it, you are sending it back and paying a good amount of money for their "warranty". If you break a Powell, send it back and get a new one!!
  3. Has anyone tried to use Seafoam engine cleaner on their outboard? I know a bunch of folks who have tried it on their car engines, but was wondering n these newer outboards has anyone tried it? Thanks
  4. Not to hijack, but Catt I love that Denny Brauer hook as well, but cannot find it anymore, where are you getting it?
  5. this makes work definitely a little more tolerable. Great Vid!!
  6. 8lb BPS XPS fluoro or Trilene 100% are my choices- resonable prices and have had good luck with them
  7. REVO S, I have of the Revo S and 2 PQ's. They Revo S is a tank, I tighten the drag all the way down flipping and have no problems. It is a great reel and just bought another one two days ago.
  8. Lurepartsonline have some powders with black and blue flecks in them. I have not tried them, but just tried their pearl and it handled nicely, so I would check with them. Also Lurecraft sells a copper vein paint that looks amazing when cured. It has black in it and the "copper" is a close match with Zoom Green pumpkin. I will take some pics of the Copper vein I have on some and post them.
  9. Let me know, I am in Alabaster and might be interested.
  10. I am a huge Fish fan, loved him when he was emcee, but this new show is one of the worst I have seen. The only thing worse is Charlie Moore!
  11. Just saw it and WOW ws that stupid. I really like Fish, but that was ridiculous, it wasn't even funny; however if I ever find myself trying to land a bass on a topwater while fishing from a tree stand in a pond with six pound line, that is the show to watch!
  12. They are tank strong, I got one but I am a Revo man and just couldn't get used to the different feel since my other 10 reels are Revos. The drag is stupid strong and from what I have heard the customer service is great. If you are looking for one pm me and I will make you a deal on mine, only used it 2-3 times, still have the box and all.
  13. I use chunks, frogs, and swimbaits for trailers as well, was just wondering about the grubs becausei have heard some pros say only up and others only down.
  14. Hey guys, Just wondering what others are doing, I go with grub tail pointing down, some say point the grub tail up, just wanting to see what yall think. Paxamus

Do not let that stuff get hot, I left it on the deck one summer afternoon for about two hours because I was on a hot point and when I went to dip a worm in it, it spewed all over me and my boat! I stunk all day long, but kept catching fish!
  17. X cal Jimmy- esy to walk and have had some vicious strikes on it.
  18. PLEASE let your local Game and Fish department know about that pond, those things wreak havoc on local fish, they are going to be a serious problem in the not to distant future.... but I would love to catch one!
  19. I have 4-5 Revo S, 3 Skeet Reese Revos, and a Revo Inshore all are tanks have not had any issues at all. The only problem I have with them is that I want another, and another, and another, and another.
  20. Cadman, thanks I have a production mold that uses the same hooks, so I am going to try on it first. I appreciate your help
  21. Hey guys, I am wanting to use a heavier gauge flipping hook for my arkie jig mold, but will have to open my mold up some with a dremmel, has anyone tried this? Any tips would be good, I just don't want to mess up a new mold. Thanks
  22. i have been using the powder paints on my shakey heads that I pour, but not tried them with my big jigs, what paints are yall using?
  23. I have two of them and love them, the drag is buttery smooth! Worth the 149
  24. Do yall like to pour your jig heads with brush guards in or do you like to glue them later? Thanks

Tying, I used wire with two wraps then twist until I get the right amount of flare, but be careful to many twists will weaken the wire and it will break.
