  1. Quite surprising, I would have bet good money nobody gets a bag over 25, unheard of for a pro event with no umbrella rigs on that water
  2. Well that was more fun than I can stand! Sitting here at work wishing it was still going
  3. Meanmouth, half spot half smallie
  4. Went to a highland reservoir today with a buddy and his wife, then his friend showed up and accommodated them so plenty of fun all around. We got at least 7, hopefully more as they are still fishing
  5. Dylan wins everything on pickwick, same river I guess Said he’s got 26.5 , that bag is unheard of here. One for the ages
  6. There were strong winds yesterday but it didn’t seem to affect the competitors at all, somehow they love that stuff. What was pretty wild that we noticed was the water color. It was stained at takeoff from Wednesday night storms but not bad. By the afternoon, the water at takeoff was ultra brown coming down from the mountain runoff. Looks like similar conditions today according to the deep dive app for Ft loudon. Upper end and little river arm, as well as some major creeks, are muddy. The lower end main channel is better but slowly staining from the current moving through The interesting part about tellico, where a majority of the leading competitors seemed to fish yesterday, it the duality of reservoir. The little TN river arm (coming from chilhowee lake) almost always stays clear regardless of rainfall amounts. It is insulated from several tall dams upstream holding back water. The Tellico River arm (southwest side) is much muddier because there are no dams on that river. Several anglers like muddy water, several like clear so keep an eye out for those differences. The current is much more of a consensus, everyone seems to love that across the board. The Wednesday night rainfall dump has the flood gates open in lenoir city again, I’ve never heard anyone say that hurts the fishing. Look for some big bags today!!!
  7. They are an amazing bait
  8. Twas much quicker than last year, I imagine from not having to drive an hour from boat ramp to Tulsa
  9. 21 lbs something We are near the front row
  10. Some frost on the dock at takeoff. All the anglers front deck carpet had frost lining up before takeoff John cox! Thought I heard them say 2/3 of the field is on tellico, that’s where my infamously famous slow lakehouse remodel is ongoing . Did demo again Sunday 😂
  11. I stand corrected, they are catching pretty good. Saw palanuik in my spot at crackhead creek just after takeoff 😂
  12. Cox came very close last time it was in Knoxville, maybe even the last two times. He was fishing near IC king park both times with a crank
  13. Always sports when I’m solo with earbud, music on Bluetooth speaker when my buddies are on board. I turn it down if there’s a boat within eyesight. Had a guy in a boat keep coming closer to me one day and it was weirding me out, he then said “I’m just getting closer so I can listen to Hank Sr with you” 😂. I lost my marbles when TN won a college World Series game in my kayak once, I think the lakefront homeowners most likely decided I escaped the nervous hospital Also, the southeastern US is by far the most forested part of the country so believe it or not, we too have leaves
  14. I have absolutely positively never had a fishing funk
  15. Oldest trick in the book
  16. Well, the competitors are now met with crappy conditions of course. It was warm and sunny trend for about two weeks straight. 80 degrees yesterday. Storms blew in at sunset, it snowed, and every tributary I’ve seen today is Willy wonka chocolate factory. I’d go to Norris if I was going fishing! I’m sure they will still catch fish but it could have been a lot better

We didn’t have deer 30 years ago, now you could hunt them with a hammer But yes I used to pull ones the size of a grape out of my Dogs ear 30 yrs ago

I got over 200 seed tick bites one day in summer of 24 I think. It was rough, couldn’t sleep for a solid month . I love winter
