I’d keep the boat the same and get a kayak. Best of both worlds, engine is most important part of a boat. I have two motor boats on trailers, 4 kayaks, a canoe, and am the keeper of a friends 6 person inflatable paddle board. Diversify!

@Pat Brown and @Woody B, I do a whole lot of gar fishing and they rarely break my line, get 40”+ regularly on light spinning tackle. now pike I got into today floating a river in Michigan and I went 1 for 7 , all clean slices on the hookset but I did boat a 23” , Only my second pike ever!! I was beyond excited

Got my second ever pike today, had lots bite me off . Pretty crazy in swift water, in the neighborhood of 23”. Release video didn’t quite work out, he squirmed away. Also had bald eagles with us all day

Pretty cool! We saw an elk swimming thru a pond in KY and my mom says, “what do elk eat, fish?” The laughter didn’t stop for a while

@ol'crickety, wind plus canoe equals use a kayak, preferably a sit-in easy for me to say, we don’t get wind often. But I’ve got a little 20 dollar yard sale kayak that is great in wind , paddles crazy fast and easy

@MIbassyaker, bringing our own canoe has more than paid for itself, those rentals add up. Did get about halfway to losing it on i75 in Lima Ohio tho……
