Honestly they can do it year round but fall/winter is the best time regular joes too, not even tournament fishermen same area during the spawn, 15 lbs is a good bag I wouldn’t put an “any lake across the country” label on it, fishing during spawn hurts the weights down south unless you’re at santee cooper or FLA

Wow! That’s cool. A lot of the rivers I fish are said to be older than the Appalachians because they flow straight thru them east to west from NC to TN. Seems like I read the French broad is like 400 million years old, it’s right near my house
