  1. Oh my. You basically just settled this debate that has raged on for a couple years now. Someone pin this post and reference it forever when dozens more threads on this topic come up!!! Call a moderator!!!!! seriously, no one has ever said it better that I’ve heard. I’ve been in boats with livescope and had absolutely no clue what was going on looking at it, and I’m pretty handy with down imaging and 2D. Obviously people are good at using it to catch fish but I bet plenty of people waste a lot of time using it to try catching fish
  2. Bass fishing has all kind of restrictions. Horse power, rod length, Alabama rigs, etc
  3. I think livescope is a lot more like a motion activated trail cam than a thermal
  4. You posted earlier the oceans would be extra salty if you put it back . If you take it out, then put it back, wouldn’t it then be equally salty?
  5. Fishing tournaments ban motors under 150 hp. You can’t show up with a 9.9 evinrude and compete. Or an Alabama rig in the big leagues
  6. If you take it out……. Then put it back in…… where do you come up with the surplus?
  7. We have lots of corps of engineer dams, they mostly stay broken
  8. #2 Los Angeles also in a desert. “I can’t believe it’s so dry out here, who would have thought 50 million people couldn’t survive in a desert” Here’s your sign…… Atlanta sometimes runs low on water and wants to tap into the TN river. Nobody ever blames the urban planners that let developers build as many houses as they want
  9. There was no study haha. Just an ornery old man spouting off
  10. And all these years I thought you were reading my posts……… ? I’ve posted this story on here many times, but I was fishing a set of rapids with my friends, and we had three guys in the boat, all getting skunked for several hours. It was super hot and confidence was low so I jumped into the water and started swimming. My buddy said he had a diving mask and a snorkel if I wanted to use it. Turns out we were fishing amongst a whole bunch of large smallmouth bass. The fish are always there, most often ignoring the efforts of fishermen. Or following the lure without biting, heck they would follow me while I was swimming and even mean mug my mask face to face Diving mask: the original forward facing sonar
  11. Your limb just snapped
  12. The fish will be fine You can still fish on instinct, tournaments aren’t mandatory. Also John Cox is a tournament fishing force that doesn’t use it
  13. This guy cleaned up a bunch of river birch sticks out of his yard and made a pile. a squirrel figured out a good use for them
  14. Hahahah. Come on @Tennessee Boy, you gonna believe a number he made up ? If he’s talking to a camera, he’s throwing out made up numbers. 85.6% of his facts are erroneous I don’t have it, don’t want it, not opposed to it whatsoever. To say it will harm fishing is an insult to fish
  15. People do it all the time here, one of my buddies makes a living guiding that way. Fly rods and surface bugs
  16. Can I get an engineer to hold my beer, please? Damming rivers since the corps was only a twinkle in its mother’s eye but seriously I think tva is the champion of dams, it’s nothing short of a miracle none have collapsed
  17. If you think skinning a catfish and walking in mud is wild, clearly you have never been to Florida
  18. That could be argued………. but our dams are for the exact opposite purpose of yours, we have too much rain 100% of the time and the goal is to control flooding. Never been a drought here
  19. Stood on a cinder block haha. It sprung every time I got it right, quite frustrating hahaha
  20. Raccoon in a box (normally I would tie that off but she told me I couldn’t lean a ladder on her fancy gutters)
  21. We must’ve caught 40 or more, kept 11
  22. Waterdog
