Til you back into a log underwater with your $50 lights haha. Just replaced the “never needs replaced” LED with incandescent On the LED, the wires are soldered into a cutting board type thing. I’ve had them come out too, only takes a Phillips screwdriver to at least check

I been blowing them even smothered in the grease. I even had a bulb full of water the other day. I’ve got LED on one side and not the other, might be the problem haha. $50 is a rough pill to swallow for something you dunk into a river full of rocks and logs .

Diversity in CA? Always seemed like that state lacked native species diversity to me, in fresh water anyway. I know nothing about saltwater

I can’t stand the MLF format, been saying since the inception. I never watch any of their stuff, knew I didn’t like it after the first episode. It’s like watching cricket or the pro bowl I wish BASS would have patented the 5 fish weigh in so MLF couldn’t use it after all the mess they talked about 5 fish limits

Check the bulb first, mine blow constantly. Helps to unhook lights when putting them in the water

Gotcha. Never been to that area but I know some folks that fish it. On those rivers , I would guess they don’t have a large reservoir to relax for the winter and casually chase baitfish. So they will most likely seek out stable deepish water, although might catch some rays shallow on a sunny afternoon . The deeper pools will have more stable water speed as well as temp. The cold night air won’t chill the deeper water as quickly as it does the shallows

I sent them to my buddy that hunts waterfowl , he said the one in the front with white on it might be a blue winged teal. Hard to tell, when you zoom in it gets blurry
