  1. Yeah whitewater kayaking is huge here, little trout streams turn into class V quick when it rains hard. They do unfortunately pull some folks out of the water every year it seems. A guy that used to be my boss kayaked the entire Grand Canyon for 18 days
  2. Just following on my phone, no TV at the lake house. Nobody thought they could beat the mighty chiefs last year either!
  3. “That’s what you said last year” -joe burrow
  4. Hahahahahahahahahaah. I so want to attempt an imitation and record the noise, and post it here
  5. That guy I know that used to run bulldog bend said he paddled with somebody foshee, I think it was John, all over the southeast on some wicked whitewater. Nantahala , ocoee, etc. He had a pic of them going over a huge waterfall in a canoe! They mainly used canoes as I think it was back pre 90s before kayaks became so popular as for shipping on the Great Lakes, we all know that the witch of November can sometimes come early
  6. You ever know a fella named John foshee?
  7. My father in law is sitting here by the fire talking about this exact topic , he said between 165-175 degrees
  8. Congrats!
  9. My buddy james also had 5 i had mine out at 18, no pain but I was knocked out during and luckily no soreness afterwards. I did eat some wings from Applebees against doctors orders and got a hunk of chicken stuck in the hole haha. They gave me a syringe and I shot it out with hot water
  10. There was smoke on the water this morning, reminded me of this thread
  11. Thanks!!!
  12. Persistence pays off with one dink per half day I also ran across a crazy school of fish but I think it was gizzard shad
  13. My in-laws make sausage out of the gush haha. Bluh
  14. Yeah, even if you were to release it people would say you killed it
  15. Nice! Doesn’t look familiar………. Nickajack maybe?
  16. Started at 7:30, finally got one at 1 pm as I was lifting the lure out of the water haha. I went and found some stained water at the advice of @Captain Phil, which was ironically in the back of the creek my dock is in. Main channel, where I’ve been going, is blue water. Then I was working a rocky point with no love. Tossed a worm and got 2 back to back…….. Such is life of the 7 spinnerbait fish I’ve caught in my life, 4 or 5 have come on this one. don’t know where I got it or what it’s called.
  17. Hahah!!! squarebill: summer lipless: winter spinnerbait: $&@&$ never blade: winter chatterbait: all year but better fall and spring buzzbait: summer and fall swimjig: spring and summer, probably works in fall too but I haven’t really tried that adding my own: plastic worm! 365 24/7
  18. Yes sir same here. They work in summer too, but there’s definitely an uptick in fall
  19. What river do you fish up there? I’ll be in upper michigan next summer, staying on the big lake but I’ve usually only got a canoe or my two feet. I’ve fished the platte and some on the betsie but everyone seems to be after salmon
  20. They still have plenty of places to hide. On the pro tours northern swing this year , many reported they never saw the SMB until they launched off bottom to get a lure. They can still hide on bottom, especially rock bottom
  21. I’m noticing a trend. Spinnerbaits seems to excel for members fishing shallow water with lots of weeds. Most of what I fish is 20-50 feet of clearish swift water, all rocks
  22. I’d root for Russia if they were up against ATL The only time I’ve ever pulled for the Yankees was the 96 World Series haha
