  1. I have heard tale of this and I think I might even have some but they look different than what’s in the photo I can’t remember what I got but they kind of go inside of a slip sinker. I bought 100 and I use about two a year. Ha ha Ha
  2. Yes!!! I’m so glad you said that, I say the exact same sentence all the time. people that record weather closely don’t have a good memory
  3. I have to tell my buddy all the time that fish can’t read a calendar. He swears if they were biting somewhere on June 4th one year then they must be doing the exact same thing on June 4th in subsequent years. So now he always sends me old pics and says “calendar!! We need to go” I think it worked once out of several hundred attempts
  4. I don’t mind the slime of trout, I just never miss a chance to say anything derogatory about stockers (waste of resources)
  5. Gotcha. I detest bobbers, no wonder I’ve never seen one ?
  6. You nearly blinded him! Haha. What’s on your line there at the jig?
  7. Back legs (ham) are just about as good at the tenderloins and back straps. Front shoulder is some different stuff, needs crock pot treatment the whole “bucks in rut don’t taste good” is untrue in my opinion. I’ve had lots of them that were absolutely delicious, bull elk too. 20 years ago killing does was illegal in much of the south, and hunting season is during rut As with many food items, preconceived notions will trick your taste buds, kind of like your cold water crappie theory haha. Hot air spoils meat, not hot water
  8. That’s pretty standard about anywhere, but most people forget every single year and make statements like “I’ve never seen it this cold this late” then you look up actual data and it was that cold that late every year for the last few decades it happens with TVA lakes every year twice a year also, “I’ve never seen the water this high in my whole life” and “I’ve never seen the water this low in my whole life……” Guess what, it’s that low and that high every year
  9. This will be winters last gasp until next week
  10. I can’t ever see the fish but dragging a worm in spring gets bit really well
  11. Anything over 3 is pretty good! I’ve seen people paddle up to 10 maybe 11 the old fashioned way but it was a tiny long boat
  12. Just saw cliff pirch backreeling a 5+ lbs largemouth. Oh the horror! Couldn’t hear any drag
  13. My thoughts exactly
  14. My buddy was replacing the axle on his boat trailer, said he needed me to baby sit his boat all morning. It was snowing and the fish were chomping. Nothing big but I got to set the hook over and over and over. I lost several fish in trees, finally decided to switch to baitcaster for more winch power
  15. Friggin snowed off and on all morning. Fish liked it though
